C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 420 – 15th of June – Christmas

I don’t use patterned papers as often as I should. For these two cards I found these great papers by Kaisercraft and just let the papers decide the appropriate images the add. I thought they both made a wonderful background for Tiddly Inks - WinterLight Wishes – Wryn | Digital Stamp. I often will stamp or print out numerous images and colour them at night while watching TV. In this case I used Copic markers. When I was going through my paper/card stock stash I thought the papers and image were perfect. I fussy cut out the little girl and bear and layered them on the paper. The sentiments were part of the same paper pack. I love the results.

With the New Year, we have a new Design Team logo created by our fabulous leader Angie! simple-create-too-logo-for-dt

For the first challenge for SCT I used a wonderful digis stamp by Tiddly Inks called, “You and Me.” I coloured the image using Copic Markers. The papers and love sticker were from my stash. The flowers were created with my 2 part punches by Nellie Snellen.

Simply Create Too – Challenge 95 – AUTUMN SPLENDOR

1 MYRNA DT BADGEOur latest challenge at Simply Create Too is Autumn Splendor. When I saw this digi stamp at Tiddly Inks called Wryn’s Leaves I knew it would make a perfect fall splendor themed card. I made two versions of the card. I coloured the image with Copic markers. Next, because I was trying to capture a moment in time, I thought using a poloriod frame from MFT was perfect. For the first card, I sponged the background of the image was distress markers, then popped the frame up with foam. I added some twine from my stash and a couple of die cut leaves. For the leaves, I used distress inks, smooched them on my craft matt, spritzed with water, then blotted a sheet of water colour paper. Once dry, I die cut various leaves. The sentiment is from PI. I used leaf dies from Lawn Fawn, MFT and Memory Box.

Why I love Digis!

I love digi stamps because you can resize them! I just made two cards using Tiddly Inks – Faythe Flies. For my first card I sized her the fit a standard A2 card in full length. For the second card I enlarger her, rotated her slightly and printed only a partial image. Both cards are similar yet different.

Card 1:  I coloured her with Copic markers and made her hair brown. I paper pieced the dress with the same paper I used for the background. I added a diecut butterfly, and a sentiment for Justrite.

I entered this card into the following challenges:

Get Creative Challenge – Ch. #16- Must Include Butterflies

Aud Sentiments Challenge 133- Bingo   Die Cut/Digi Stamp/Markers

Cute Card Thursday – #376 Summer Colours

Card 2: I coloured her with Copic markers, making her hair blonde. I wanted to keep the card very simple and left lots of white space. For this card I did not include a sentiment, but may do so at later date or just leave it as is.

Sparkle & Shine

Tiddly Inks just released a new “sheep series” that are laugh out loud adorable. Loving sheep I ordered the set. I kept the card super simple using only Y15 and BG10 markers. I filled the sheep in with stickles to add to the Sparkle & Shine!
