Once again I am using this adorable digi stamp called, December 26 by The Paper Shelter. I coloured him using Copic markers and added him to a scalloped edged die cut.

This week’s C.R.A.F.T. Challenge is Christmas. It is never too early to make Christmas cards. I made up a card using an adorable digital design by The Paper Shelter called, December 26th. I hand coloured Santa using Copic markers, added Stickles to the fur aspects of his outfit, then framed the image using cardstock from my stash. The sentiment was included on the bottom edge of the Christmas paper. For the final touch, I added a few sequins.

This week we got our inspiration from a book. I was just reading, “MOLTO GUSTO BY MARIO BATALI’”, and thought The Paper Shelter’s, “Pizza Chef” was perfect for my card design. I started the card by die cutting an “oven” mitt using the largest die from Sellbinder’s -Shapeabilities – Nested Mittens. Next I printed, coloured (with Copics) . and fussy cut out the chef and pizza. Final step was the assemble the card. On the inside I computer generated the sentiment, “I stole a Pizza of my heart!”

Our current challenge at Simply Create Too is to make a Masculine Card. I had this great little digi called Trattoria Chef by The Paper Shelter. I started by hand colouring the image with Copic markers. I then fuzzy cut him out and set him aside. Next I pulled out my Mitten dies by Spellbinders and die cut the largest one. Before removing it from the die. I went around the edge with distress ink. Next I dry embossed a pattern to resemble quilting so it would look more like an oven mitt vs a winter mitten. I layered it all together using paper from my stash. The sentiments, “Hey, hey good looking” is on the outside, with “What’s you got cooking?” on the inside were computer generated.
Please join us. The challenge runs from June 5th until June 18th.
