I am still working on making my cards (130) for the residents of the Belmont Nursing Home. I like to try to make a different design for each person, so Sketch challenges really help me with my card making. Today I made 5 different cards specific for five different card challenges.
For this card I used Happy Easter to Ewe by Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the stamp with Copic markers. The sentiment is called Easter Seal by Technique Tuesday. The paper, gems, and flowers are from my stash.
For card 2, I used POLKAB sit by Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the stamp with Copic markers. I used an embossing folder for a little texture. The stamp is by PI. The egg die cut is from Nesting Eggs by Cheery Lynn.
I entered this card into Techno Stamper - Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 356 (TSSC356)
For card 3, I used Spring Bird – Bird Nest by Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the stamp with Copic markers. The die set is from MFT (retired). I used an embossing folder for texture, sentiment from PI, Stampin Up label punch, and ribbon from my stash.

This week’s challenge at Cardz for Guyz is Food and Drink. I thought the Birdbrain Brew was a perfect choice!. I coloured the stamp with Copic markers, layered it, used an embossed background, some twine, glossy accents on the beer foam and bird eyes, and add the Happy Birthday Seal Stamp by Technique Tuesday.
UPDATE: My cards was selected as one of the Top Three at Cardz for Guyz
The Belmont Nursing Home is having a special “Development Day” for the staff, and I was asked to make 25 thank you cards that would hold a double sized gift card. The theme is HATS. I have a great digi stamp by Hambo called Silly Birds in Hats. They were coloured with Copics. I used a circled embossing folder for the background, and the circle Thank You stamp by Technique Tuesdays. On the inside of the card, I developed a holder for a gift card and used a computer generated sentiment. The hats are royalty free Corel Draw clipart.
I entered this card into the Hambo Hoedown – Thank You Challenge.
Note: Hambo’s rubber stamp store is closing after 12 years and they are currently selling off their rubber stamps. If you want one or more of their awesome stamps…order them now as they will not be restocking! Check out their site at http://hambostamps.com/
UPDATE: I won at Hambo Hoedown – Thank You Challenge
I designed my card off a sketch over at Christmas Stampin’ All Year Long. I used a small snowflake embossing folder from Tim Holtz/Sizzix for the background. I coloured the snowman from Paper Smooches - Warm Hearts and sentiment from Technique Tuesday – It’s good to snow!.
I had a double win this week at Christmas Stampin’ All Year Long. I placed Top 3 and Won the challenge which gives me an opportunity to be a Guest Designer.
