The C.R.A.F.T. Challenge is to use numbers. For my card, I used a clear stamp from Sweet n Sassy called The Sea! I made the card for a guy friend who is turning the Big 6-0 this August. I started by stamping the sailboat with Versafine Black ink. Next, I blended Distress Oxide Ink into the background. I added a sentiment by Hero Arts and the number 60 die-cuts from Papertry Ink.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – February 10, 2018 – Colour Challenge

52cctc
Hello Everyone. This month I am in charge of selecting all the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenges. Nothing says cold like the blues. I love monochrome cards and challenge you to try to make a card that focuses on using blue tones. Use as many or few as you want. You can use inks, watercolours, markers, pencils, colour stock etc. to show blue. For my card, I used a fun stamp by Whipper Snapper called, “A Polar Bear Party.” I stamped my image then coloured it with various Copic Blue/Blue Green markers. I also added a little Salty Ocean Oxide ink around the outside edge. I backed the image on white cardstock that I blended Salty Ocean, Broken China, and Peacock Feathers. I flicked on some water droplets for that little extra. \finally I backed the card front on blue cardstock. The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy – A Cardinal’s Christmas.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – February 3, 2018 – Sketch Challenge

52cctc

Hello Everyone. For the month of February, I am in charge of the challenges for the52 Christmas Card Throwdown. The sketch above is just a guideline, but you are welcome to modify it to suit your card design. While the sketch shows a design for an A2 card in landscape format, you can make your card any size or shape. In my example, I used a square vs an oval, snowflakes vs stars, and patterned papers vs solid papers.

For the main image, I used a digital stamp by Delicious Doodles called, A Robin’s Christmas. I coloured it with Copic markers. I used 3 snowflakes dies from Tim Holtz’s Snowflake Thinlites. The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy, Cardinal Christmas. The cardstock and gems are from my stash.
