52 Christmas Card Throwdown – Challenge 53CCT 37-18

DT Badge

The 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge this week is to make a pop-up or cube card. You can find many videos/templates on YouTube, Pinterest and other search sites. You can also buy dies and svg files to easily make these cards. Since I own a Cricut Explore Air, I simply popped in my All Occasions Box Cards Cartridge and made a card that easily fits into an A2 size envelope. After I cut out the files, I assembled the card and added a couple of glitter stars, and Sue Wilson’s Creative Expressions Festive Collection Let It Snow Die.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – Challenge 52CCT36-18 – Script

DT Badge

For our monthly Theme challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, we are looking for a card using Script. I made my card using a Frostville Die by Memory Box and Sue Wilson Christmas Dies – Festive Collection Let It Snow. This was a quick and simple card to make taking less than 10 minutes. The gold snowflake is an embellishment from my stash.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 399 – 19th of January – Christmas

DTbadge

I know Christmas just passed, but it is never too early to start your Christmas cards, I make over 250 Christmas cards each year so starting in January works for me. One of my favorite Digi Stamp companies is “A Day for Daisies“. They have a vast variety of digi stamps and their Design Team always have fantastic samples online. Check them out!

When I think of Christmas, I think aboiut shopping! (Another thing I like to start doing early). I use a beautiful stamp called, “Tiny Fashionable Present“. While I used this digi as a Christmas card, it could easily be a Birthday, Anniversary, Valentine or Just Because card. I coloured the image with Copics. I layered it with similar aqua tones. The “Joy” sentiment is a die cut from Creative Expressions Festive Collection – Joy Die Set by Sue Wilson. To finish it off I added a few gems for that added bling.

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Sketch

 CCT - Design For Badge

Hello everyone. I am very excited to announce that I have been asked to be a member of the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Design team. Our first challenge for 2017 is a sketch challenge. If you invert the sketch you will see how I came up with my card design. My card to very simple, yet it has that touch of elegance. I use a wonderful die from Craft Dies by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Christmas Tree Greeting. I cut it out twice – once with the green glitter paper and once with the white glitter paper. Next I cut a piece of the white glitter paper 5.5 x 4.25, green 5.25 x 4, white 5 x 3.75, green 4.75 x 3.25, white 4.25 x 3 and layered them on top of each other. I slightly offset the die cut tree and glued to the top. For the final step I taped the card topper to card base.

The Glory of Christmas – Challenge 76 – Silver or Gold

Sidebarglorykleiner

For this Challenge, we are asking for a Christmas card using Silver or Gold. I made three versions of a “silver” card using Craft Dies by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Christmas Tree Greeting. I cut the tree out in White and Silver Foil card stock, Silver Glitter and Black card stock, and Silver Glitter and White card stock. I offset and layered the tree die cuts to add dimension. I also triple layered the base card stocks, add the trees, and for the finishing touch, added MFT - Die-namics Four Corners.

I photographed the cards in direct and indirect light and have included both images of each card.
