52 Christmas Card Throwdown – Challenge 52CCT 30-18 Sketch

DT Badge

This week at 52 Christmas Card Challenge, the Design Team is looking for a card based on our Sketch. I created my card with my new dies from Creative Expressions – Build a Snowman and Let it Snow. I started by die cutting all the pieces I wanted for my card, then arranged the design. I added ink around the outside of the center piece die by Spellbinders, arranged my snowman and lantern and added the sentiment.

CHNC blog button DT

This week the Design Team from Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Card Challenge is looking for a Christmas project featuring an angel. I just received a number of dies from the Creative Expressions Festive Collection. I used the 2018 Angel die along with an older Spellbinder’s die to create my card.

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Theme Challenge

 CCT - Design For Badge

When I saw the Theme of this challenge, I thought of the skating bear from MFT – Polar Bear Pals. The stamps also show the joys of ice fishing and playing outdoors.

One Stamp-Eighteen Cards – Featuring BB Polar Bear Pals by MFT

I was asked to create 18 Personal Christmas Cards that depicted “Canada”. I immediately thought of Polar Bears, and My Favorite Things –  BB Polar Bear Pals stamps and dies were Perfect! Well you know me, I can’t create the same card twice (well I can, but this is way more fun) so I created 18 different cards using the same stamp set. Here is the results!

When creating the cards, I used Copics, Derwent Inktense Pencils, Distress Inks to colour. I also used various dies, stamps, and punches from Memory Box, MFT Dienamics, Stampin’ Up, Spellbinders, Lawn Fawn dies, SSS, and Penny Black. Plus: papers, card stock, gems, sequins, stickers, ribbon and twine for my stash. If you have specific questions about the products I used feel free to contact me.

C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 361 – Inspired by a Book

DTbadgeThis week we got our inspiration from a book. I was just reading, “MOLTO GUSTO BY MARIO BATALI’”, and thought The Paper Shelter’s, “Pizza Chef” was perfect for my card design. I started the card by die cutting an “oven” mitt using the largest die from Sellbinder’s -Shapeabilities – Nested Mittens. Next I printed, coloured (with Copics) . and fussy cut out the chef and pizza. Final step was the assemble the card. On the inside I computer generated the sentiment, “I stole a Pizza of my heart!”

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 356 – 24th of March – Add some Bling

DTbadgeYou just have to love a challenge that requires adding “Bling”. I have a tendency to hoard my bling, so it is fun to be challenged to use some! I found this wonderful digi stamp by A Day for Daisies called 40s View. Those wonderful earrings were perfect to embellish! I started by colouring the beautiful lady with Copics. I then, using an oval die, cut her out and set aside. Next using some mirror-like foil card stock cut out a filigree oval by Spellbinders  Nestabilities – Oval Regalia Decorative Elements Dies – S4-492. I layered the pieces on my card base, then added the “bling” gemstones.
