C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 457 – 1st of March – Sketch

This week the C.R.A.F.T. Design Team is challenging you to make a card using the sketch above. For my card, I have used Fairy Star Digi Stamp from the DigiStampShop (Digital Paper Craft) I started by colouring the fairy with my Copic markers. I added a little clear Wink of Stella to the wings and star, then fussy cut her out, For a more finished look, I coloured the edges of the image with my black marker. To add a little drama, vs using an oval as the sketch indicates, I chose to use a Christmas tree die by Sizzix CHRISTMAS TREE CARD FLIP AND FOLD Thinlits Die Set 662281. The papers and gems are from my stash.

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Colour Challenge

 CCT - Design For Badge

Foe this Colour Challenge I decided to use my new Sizzix Santa Thinlites Die. I cut the image out three times in white, then added the colours using my Copic Markers. I layered the hat and mustache for dimension. I also used a piece of pre-embossed Reflections card stock for my background, and added a fun Christmas bow.

This challenge will last for the whole month of June 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

For my card I used Bugaboo’s Digi Stamp, “WinBird Skate (retired).” I coloured him with Copic markers. I die cut a pair of skates using die from Sizzix. I layered the little bird on the skates and used diagonal striped paper for the background. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Any Shape/Multiple Layers

Our design team challenge you to make a Shaped Christmas Card with multiple layers. If you have a Cricut or Silhouette there are thousands of SVG files for different shaped cards. The die cut companies also make a variety of shaped card designs. For my card I used a die by Sizzix called, Winter Wishes Collection – Christmas – Thinlits Die – Card, Christmas Tree Fold-a-Long. I chose to use two different card stocks – one patterned, one solid. I also used gold foiled and green glitter cardstock for sentiment, star, and ornaments. Everything is included with the die cut set but paper, glue and die cutting machine. While the design looks very complex, it was very easy to make, and the results are very pretty.

Note: If you don’t have a die cut machine or electronic cutting machines you can design your own shaped cards. If you do a google search you will discover many site with free card shape templates and you only need paper and scissors. As any shape goes, you can also use a square or A2 card as well. I hope you will join us. I look forward to seeing your creations.

This challenge will last for the whole month of April 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge – they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

For my card I used the Sizzix Bigz XL Stocking Gift Holder Steel die. I cut the stocking in non-Christmas patterned papers to gave it that elegant feel. I added bling from my stash, and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink. I mounted the stocking on a Christmas themed card. The card dimension is 5 x 7. I made two different cards using different papers.
