The CRAFT design team is trying to help you establish your Christmas card stash, so we have another Christmas card challenge. I decided to do something a little non-traditional. I used a fun silhouette digi stamp called, Roping Santa Digital Stamp Q-digi13709 by QKR Stampede. I started by printing the digi using my laserjet printer. Next, with my Minc embossed the image with black foil. Using Distress Ink I blended a sunset background. Finally still using Distress Ink and Versafine ink, and a retired western themed stamp set by the late Waltzingmouse Stamp Co. I stamped the mountain/desert background. The sentiment was from cardstock from my stash.

This week we challenge you to recycle something on your project. I like to try to recycle Christmas cards. For this challenge, I used Christmas cards, ribbon from gifts, and gift wrap. I used a funny little Beaver stamp called, “digi9802 Fresh Cut Tree Digi-Stamp” by QKR Stampede for cards 1-3, and Card 4, “Cocoa and Friends”, by Whimsey Doodle. I coloured the images with Copics, fussy cut them out and layered them on recycled Christmas cards, wrap and ribbon.

This week’s challenge at CRAFT is Get Well/Sympathy/Sorry. I opted to make a Get Well Card. I used a delightful stamp from QKR Stampede called digi16910 Nurse Digi-Stamp. I coloured her with Copics, added a Get Well Sentiment from Paper Smooches – Healthy Vibes and a Heart Rate border die, also by PS.
This challenge will run from February 26th until March 4th. Please join us!
