C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 480 – 23rd of August – Back to School

Click here to go to challenge blog

This week at C.R.A.F.T. we are looking for a card with a back to school theme. For my card, I combined School Boy Andy from Pink Gem Designs and the Schoolhouse SVG card from Dreaming Tree. For andy, I printed the digital design with my laserjet computer, coloured him with Copic Markers, fussy cut him out and set aside. Next using the instructions from Dreaming Tree, I used my computer, Design Space, my Cricut Explorer Air, and cut and pasted the school bus card together. The final touch was the add Andy to the front. The inside of the card has a slot for a gift card.

This challenge runs for 2 weeks!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 416 – 18th of May – Christmas

DTbadgeWe are half way through May and all the gardens are running late. While we had a mild winter it was really long! So creating a Christmas card now seems very appropriate! For this week’s challenge, I selected an adorable puppy stamp by Pink Gem Designs called, “Christmas Charlie.” I coloured the puppy using Spectrum Noir markers. I added a little clear Wink of Stella to his hat and scarf, glossy accents to his eyes and nose, and Stickles to his hat’s pom-pom. For the background, I used Tim Holtz’s Sweater embossing folder by Sizzix because the “knit” patterns of the scarf/hat matched.

C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 385 – 13th of October – Tri-fold Card with Tag Insert

DTbadgeThis week, we challenge you to make a tri-fold card with tag insert. Once again, if you want to see what a  tri-fold card looks like, I would suggest you run a search through google or Pinterest. For my card I used the Baby and Snowman digi stamp by Pink Gem Designs. I also used Stampin’ Up’s Embossing folder – Northern Flurries, and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 357 – 31st of March – Create Your Own Background Paper

DTbadgeFor this week’s challenge, we are asking that you make your own background paper. I started this challenge with this adorable digi called Girl Robin by Pink Gem Designs. I coloured her using my Copic markers. Next I die cut her out using the Arch die from MFT – Blueprints 3. Using Distress Ink – Salty Ocean I accented the edges and background, then added a number of small snowflake shaped stamps. I used a snowfall embossing folder to created a textured background, and added a faux stitched band with sentiment, a scalloped border and a funky flower (all from the MFT-Blueprint 3 dies).

Welcome Baby Boy

I was getting low on my baby cards, so I coloured up some “baby” designs in blue, pink, yellow, green, and lilac. I started by pulling some blue card stocks and made three baby boy cards. I handcoloured the baby images with Copics.
