We are half way through May and all the gardens are running late. While we had a mild winter it was really long! So creating a Christmas card now seems very appropriate! For this week’s challenge, I selected an adorable puppy stamp by Pink Gem Designs called, “Christmas Charlie.” I coloured the puppy using Spectrum Noir markers. I added a little clear Wink of Stella to his hat and scarf, glossy accents to his eyes and nose, and Stickles to his hat’s pom-pom. For the background, I used Tim Holtz’s Sweater embossing folder by Sizzix because the “knit” patterns of the scarf/hat matched.

This week, we challenge you to make a tri-fold card with tag insert. Once again, if you want to see what a tri-fold card looks like, I would suggest you run a search through google or Pinterest. For my card I used the Baby and Snowman digi stamp by Pink Gem Designs. I also used Stampin’ Up’s Embossing folder – Northern Flurries, and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

For this week’s challenge, we are asking that you make your own background paper. I started this challenge with this adorable digi called Girl Robin by Pink Gem Designs. I coloured her using my Copic markers. Next I die cut her out using the Arch die from MFT – Blueprints 3. Using Distress Ink – Salty Ocean I accented the edges and background, then added a number of small snowflake shaped stamps. I used a snowfall embossing folder to created a textured background, and added a faux stitched band with sentiment, a scalloped border and a funky flower (all from the MFT-Blueprint 3 dies).

I was getting low on my baby cards, so I coloured up some “baby” designs in blue, pink, yellow, green, and lilac. I started by pulling some blue card stocks and made three baby boy cards. I handcoloured the baby images with Copics.

I found the most adorable baby and snowman stamp at Pink Gem Designs. While you could use it for anyone at Christmas, I thought it would make a great Baby’s first Christmas card. I made one for a boy and one for a girl.
I coloured the images with Copics, stickles, and wink of stella. I embossed the background with a snowflake pattern. I added ribbon and bow to the girl card, and snowflakes from Lawn Fawn to the boy card.
