C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 381 – 15th of September – Christmas

DTbadgeYay another Christmas challenge! For my card this week, I decided to enlarge the Santa digi from Pickled Potpourri Designs called JINGLE JOLLY to 7 x 4 card. I copied the digi on to white, black, red, and gold card stock. I coloured his face pink using Copics then paper pieced all the pieces on the digi pattern. Next I took the pattern card front an another blank white card stock sheet and cut the two pieces out together making the card front and back. I scored the back sheet about oe inch down from the top and adherred it together making this adorable stand up card. I added Stickles to the white fur on his outfit. To get the boots more definition, I added white faux stitching.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 368 – 16th of June – Christmas.

DTbadgeWe are challenging you this week to make a Christmas card. You can never start your Christmas stash too early. I used JINGLE SNOWMAN by Pickled Potpourri Designs. I created the design in my computer. First I used “Jingle”. Then I copied another one but mirrored him diagonally. Finally I added the snowflake in the middle creating my final design. I coloured the image with Copic markers. I made three versions: Red, Blue and Green. I used 3 sentiments from Impression Obsession, and varied each card slightly by adding ribbon, snowflake, etc.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 314 – 4th of June – Colour Combo

craft colourOur first Challenge of June is a Colour Challenge. I used a beautiful silhouette digi by  Pickled Potpourri called Just Dance. I decided to try the Bokeh technique using the pinks and greens Hero Art inks. The “dance” sentiment was computer generating, and the other is by SSS. I made 4 variations of this card.

C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 301 – 5th of March – Recipe Challenge: 3, 2, 1

Recipe 05032015

For this week’s 3,2,1 Challenge, CRAFT wants to use 3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image. I made my cards using our sponsor’s, Pickled Potpourri Designs, digi stamps - SNOWMAN TAGS. This set comes with an image of three snow friends, a snowman tag, plus a snowflake background. I also used their JINGLE HOLLY BACKGROUND digi stamp. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from PI. I “painted” the snowmen with white glue then sprinkled with fine diamond dust glitter by Rangers.

For this card I coloured the snowman and holly background with Copic markers. For my embellishments I cut out two holly berries from the background and added them to the image and added glitter to the snowmen. I used solid red card stock, plus neenah solar white 80lb for the images, and I used the Snow Tag snow friends image.

I entered this card into 52 Christmas Card Throwdown - February Stash Challenge

ppsnow2I always like making a couple of cards at a time, changing them up. For this card I changed the background, and used the snowflakes pattern included with the Snowman Tags digis. I printed it both on white and blue card stock, and added a scalloped border to join the two.

For this card, I used a patterned card stock for the background. I freehand cut out some snow hills for the foreground. I added two snowflakes die cuts by Paper Smooches plus some gems from my stash.

I entered this card into Completely Christmas – Add Texture and Sparkle N Sprinkle – March Competition

While making the cards, I had to make up some of the tags from the Snowman tag set. For one I paper pieced the hat and scarf, and the second I simply Copic coloured the little fellow. I added glitter to the snowman only.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 289 – 11th of December – Sketch

Sketch111214

For the CRAFT challenge this week we have a sketch. I modified the design slightly so I could make an A2 card vs a square one. For my card I am using an adorable snowman and snowflake from one of our wonderful sponsors, Pickled Potpourri Designs called Jingle Snowman (both images are included). I coloured him in blue tones as I wanted to keep my card monochromic. I used a sentiment from Hero Arts, stickles, some gems from my stash, and a Scalloped Rectangle die from Spellbinders.
