Here we are again, helping you get your Christmas card stash started. I was still into my recycling mode from last week’s challenge. For my card I used a 5 x 7 Christmas card with a wreathe and greetings on it. I cut the original card down to 5 x 5. Covered the center with a circle sentiment from Crafty Sentiments, called Merry Christmas. I printed it with my laserjet printer, then put the sentiment through my Minc machine. The finish was a multi-tone silver. I decorated with my poinsettia/evergreen punches by Nellie Snellen.

Last fall I updated my Cricut machine to the new Cricut Explore Air. My new machine will allow you to use any SVG files and this week’s sponsor, The Cutting Cafe, has many adorable cuts available. Note: If you don’t have cutting machine, they also make templates available that you can print on your computer and hand cut as well. For mxy project, I used the Umbrella Treat Box. The flowrs were created with the two part flower/leaf punches by Nellie Snellen.

This week’s challenge was to make another Christmas card. I have a number of fabulous Christmas digi stamps from Bugaboo Stamps. I decided on a retired* stamp called Window Santa. I hand coloured him with Copics and decorated the window ledge with punched flowers (Nellie Snellen) and leaves (Martha Stewart and Stampin Up). *Each month Bugaboo added numerous new digi stamps, and each year they retire some. Check them out at http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ and also look for their weekly “freebie”. When creating the card, I accidentally lengthened the jpeg, liked the result and made it as well.
