The CRAFT design team is trying to help you establish your Christmas card stash, so we have another Christmas card challenge. I decided to do something a little non-traditional. I used a fun silhouette digi stamp called, Roping Santa Digital Stamp Q-digi13709 by QKR Stampede. I started by printing the digi using my laserjet printer. Next, with my Minc embossed the image with black foil. Using Distress Ink I blended a sunset background. Finally still using Distress Ink and Versafine ink, and a retired western themed stamp set by the late Waltzingmouse Stamp Co. I stamped the mountain/desert background. The sentiment was from cardstock from my stash.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 490 – 8th of November – Christmas Present

This week at C.R.A.F.T.  we are looking for a Christmas Present theme. I have had the privilege of touring Russia twice. While there I fell in love with their Matryoshka – The Russian Nesting Doll. It’s hard to find a symbol of Russia more popular than the traditional Russian nesting doll. These decorated wooden dolls “with a secret” are also called matryoshka dolls or babushka dolls. They are recognized even in the countries a thousand miles away from Russia. They are used as gifts thus my thinking presents.

I used a digi set called Russian Dolls by All Dressed Up. I made three dolls that will literally fit into of each other with the final doll having a Christmas message. I printed the dolls out on my laser printer, then ran them through my Minc foiler machine. I coloured them with my Spectra noir markers.

The C.R.A.F.T. Design Team is hosting another Christmas card challenge. I am using a sweet little digi stamp called Eskimo Kisses by Lacy Sunshine Stampers. I printed the image on light white cardstock using my laser printer. Next, I ran the image through my Misc machine using black fold. I added a little colour with my Copic markers.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 406 – Include a flower or two or more

CHNC blog button DT

This week, Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is looking for an added flower or two. I was playing around with a digi sentiment from Pickled Potpourri called Ready-Set-Snow. I printed it on my laserjet printer then ran it through my Minc machine. The foil is multi-coloured and very pretty. I fussy cut it out then pasted it on some pretty Christmas paper with flower from my stash. I added some gems to finish it off.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 484 – 27th of September – Autumn/Weather

Gosh, summer is over and now we are into my favourite season of all – Fall. The Design team at C.R.A.F.T. is looking for an Autumn or Weather card. I used a fabulous stamp from Eureka Stamps called Halloween Border. What says fall more than orange pumpkins! I love the glossy finish left for using my Minc machine, so I printed the image using my laser printer/Minc, coloured the image with my Copic markers, and added it to some Halloween paper from my stash.
