52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Sketch

I am sorry I was a little late posted our current challenge. This challenge is based on a Sketch. I used an adorable stamp from Lili of the Valley Stamps called, “Present Trio.” This stamp is really not a Christmas stamp, but I thought I would improvise. I started with colouring the little bears with my Copic markers. Next I fussy cut them out. The sentiment is from a Lawn fawn Christmas based 6 x 6 paper pad. Once I adhered the images and sentiment, I added some die cut snowflakes from Marianne Designs to give the card a more festive feel. The finally touches were adding clear Wink of Stella to the presents, glossy accents to the bears noses, and a few gems.

Teddy Bear Christmas!

I was made into an “honourary Grandma” to my girlfriend’s daughter’s girls. There are four of them in total ranging from 3 to 9. This year I bought them all matching Teddy Bears, but to make each one unique to each “grand” daughter I decided to make each teddy a tutu. For Mya, who is in ballet, I made a pretty pink and white tu-tu. For her sister, Abbey, who does HipHop dancing, the skirt is black and pink. For Zoey and Piper, who both live in the USA, I made one tutu the colours of the US flag – red, white and blue, and the other to match the Canadian flag – red and white. I also made a cute gift tag in matching colours to attach to the ear tag and matching Christmas cards.

The Teddies decked out in their Tutus!

Ear tags made using Penny Black – Tutu Sweet Stamp. Coloured with Copicsear-tagMatching Christmas Cards. I made the cards the 2016 Kaisercraft Christmas Wishes Collection Card stock and die cuts. The bear was created from BEAR die set by Marianne Design Collectibles. I made the tutu simply hand switching then ruffling coloured tulle and gluing it to the bear. I popped the bear up. I will create a box envelop to accommodate the thickness of the card design.

The Glory of Christmas – Challenge 81 – Shadow box card

For this challenge, we are asking you to create a shadow box card. I created my “shadow box” using the three largest circle dies from my MFT Stitched Round Stax set. I used various snowflakes dies by Lawn Fawn, Impression Obsessions, and Marianne Designs.

Step 1 – For my base layer 4.25 x 5.5  , I used a snow/dot patterned embossing folder to create the background.

Step 2 – I coloured the adorable Bugaboo - cscarf Cubby Snowman w/scarf (retired) with Copic and fussy cut him out and glued him to the card with the smallest circle cut out. I used Stampin Up dimensional to add a space between it and the base.

Step 3 – I  added snowflake die cuts to the card with the next sized circle cut out and added additional dimensionals to add space between it and the previous layer.

Step 4 – I added the final card with the largest circle cut out. I stamped on a sentiment from Avery Elle, and added more snowflake die cuts, plus some gems. Once again used dimensionals between layers.

Step 5 – I added the “shadow box” to a standard A2 card base.

Simply Create Too – Challenge #101 Something New

In December I got a wonderful new  Helleboras Stamp and Die Set by Marianne Designs that I felt matched my A Day for Daisies - Aloha Blooms. I started by colouring the bathing beauty with Copics. Next I die cut, stamped and assembled my flowers. Once that was complete I arranged the flowers on my card.
