C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 304 – 26th of March – Inspired by a Film

DTbadge

For our challenge this week at C.R.A.F.T. we want your project to be inspired by film. I made a fun little card featuring Hobbybook‘s digital stamp - Jolly Santa. I started by colouring old St. Nick with Copic Markers. I layered two different Christmas papers for the background, and joined them with a punch scalloped border from American Craft. The Joy sentiment is from Tim Holtz’s. For added fun I mounted Santa on an Action Wooble, and he jiggles back and forth! With so many Santa Claus movies, it was hard not to be inspired by them all, but I have to say my most favourite is the classic – Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Please join us March 26th until April 1st.

Christmas Card Challenge – Anything Goes

Jolly St. Nick

Here the weather is wonderful, and I am still making Christmas cards. I designed my card based on a sketch from Try Stamping on a Tuesday. I used a stamp by Hobbybook Designs called Jolly Santa. He was coloured with Copics. Texture to his beard and fur was added with 3D snow, and wink of stella accented the red. I also used a Stampin Up snowflake embossing folder. I also entered my card into Hobbybook Designer’s Challenge – All About Kids, because what better represents children than Santa!
