C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 453 – 1st of February – Three of a Kind

This week the C.R.A.F.T. Design Team is challenging you to think of Three of a Kind. For my card, I decided to try out my new Altenew Layering Stamp – Tulip Stamp Set. I love tulips. They are my favorite flowers! With this stamp set, you stamp various coloured inks (Hero Arts/Stampin’ Up) in layers vs hand colouring the image. I used my Misti to help me line up the stamps and I think I did a pretty good job on my first attempt. The grass was created using a Lawn Fawn die.

Each week, we have wonderful prizes that are generously supplied by our sponsors. Please take a moment to check out the fabulous stamps at Rick St. dennis Digital Stamps

Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge Extra – Mid-August 2017

This challenge will last for the whole month of August 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps – a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge – they are offering 4 digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

For this card I used both a digi stamp and a rubber stamp. The Digi stamp is by Meljen’s Designs called, “Little Elf’s Cookie.” The rubber stamp is from Hero Arts called Christmas Cookies. I coloured both images with Copics and fussy cut them out. I assembled the card using black and sentiment patterned card stock.

C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 427 – 3rd of August – Colour Combo

This week we challenge you to make a card using the colors we posted. I decided I would try to match the inks using peg stamps and creating my own images. I made more than one image and used a number of the colors from the challenge. The stamps I used are from Card-io Clear Stamp sets and Majestix Peg Stamps for Papercraft. I used my Hero Art Ink pads, and the sentiments are from Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamps.

130 Christmas Cards for Seniors!

Every year I make 130 Christmas cards for the Belmont Long Term Care Home. It is my way of paying it forward for the fabulous care they provided my mother. I love to colour while watch TV so I will stamp numerous images and hand colour them with Copic Markers, Zig Water Colour Brushes, Derwent Inktenses Pencils, or Distress inks. Once I get a number completed, I then sit down and start to assemble my cards. No two cards are the same, While I may use the same image, I colour them differently, use a different card format, different card stock, etc. I also make Fall/Thanksgiving/Halloween, Easter/Spring, Valentine’s Day, Remembrance Day (for the veterans), plus birthday cards. It keeps me busy, and I really enjoy it. I also make cards for myself and friends. I dropped the cards off for distribution on December 1, 2016.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 383 – 29th of September – Fantasy

For this challenge, our fabulous leader, Jo, thought Fantasy who be a fun challenge to tackle. I can’t wait to see all the creative cards this week! I selected a fun digi called 3 Wishes by Melonheadz. I coloured my card using my brand new Zig Real Brush watercolour markers. Wow, they are very bold and bright. Love them! I made three versions of this card using the theme of birthday “wishes”. The sentiments are from Hero Arts.
