Our theme this week is Silent Night. I have a wonderful paper with the music of Silent Night but in my messy craft room I was not successful in finding it…insert sad face! So I made do with what I could find. I used an older Hero Arts stamp called Snowing Village CG396. Using my Misti, I stamped the images several times to ensure I got a black sky. I coloured the houses using Copic markers and added glitter mist to the full card front. The sentiment is recycled from a Christmas card.
Our monthly challenge at Simply Create Too! is to create a bookmark. Well, I couldn’t just make a bookmark, I had to make a card with a bookmark, then a separate bookmark to match the same theme. For my project, I used stamps from Honey Bee Stamps - UNDER THE SEA and ZEN OCEAN. I started by stamping the Zen Sea with Versamark Ink, adding black embossing powder then colouring it with TH Oxide Inks. The mermaids were embossed with gold embossing powder and coloured with Copic markers. Next I fussy cut them out and set aside. I used an older die and stamp set from Our Daily Bread to make the bookmarks (retired). I also used a you sentiment from SSS and Celebrate die set from Hero Arts.

The C.R.A.F.T. Challenge is to use numbers. For my card, I used a clear stamp from Sweet n Sassy called The Sea! I made the card for a guy friend who is turning the Big 6-0 this August. I started by stamping the sailboat with Versafine Black ink. Next, I blended Distress Oxide Ink into the background. I added a sentiment by Hero Arts and the number 60 die-cuts from Papertry Ink.

This week at Crazy Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge the theme is “Add a House or Two”. I decided to use an older Hero Arts stamp called Snowing Village CG396. Using my Misti, I stamped the images several times to ensure I got a black sky. I coloured the houses using Copic markers and added some ice stickles. I mounted the images on two different papers from my stash. The sentiment is from SSS.
