CHNC blog button DT

This week’s challenge at Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is to make a Christmas Project using a Star or two. I decided to go all out. I used two different star embossing folders to create the starred background, then added a cute digi stamp snowman holding a star by Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the stamp using Derwent Inktense Watercolour pencils. The sentiment is by Paper Smoothes.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – February 24th, 2018 – Technique – Watercolour

Hello Everyone, Myrna here. This is my final Challenge of the month. The Design Team and I are challenging you to make a card using watercolouring. There are so many options available.  Time to break out your watercolour pencils, pens, liquids, inks, etc and have fun. We look forward to your creations.

For my card, I used an adorable stamp called, “Gilmore” by Whipper Snapper Designs. I stamped him with Momento Ink, and coloured him with Derwent Inktense Watercolour Pencils. The papers and sequins are from my stash.

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Theme Challenge

 CCT - Design For Badge

When I saw the Theme of this challenge, I thought of the skating bear from MFT – Polar Bear Pals. The stamps also show the joys of ice fishing and playing outdoors.

One Stamp-Eighteen Cards – Featuring BB Polar Bear Pals by MFT

I was asked to create 18 Personal Christmas Cards that depicted “Canada”. I immediately thought of Polar Bears, and My Favorite Things –  BB Polar Bear Pals stamps and dies were Perfect! Well you know me, I can’t create the same card twice (well I can, but this is way more fun) so I created 18 different cards using the same stamp set. Here is the results!

I also used various dies, stamps, and punches from Memory Box, MFT Dienamics, Stampin’ Up, Spellbinders, Lawn Fawn dies, SSS, and Penny Black. Plus: papers, card stock, gems, sequins, stickers, ribbon and twine for my stash. If you have specific questions about the products I used feel free to contact me.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 425 – 20th of July – Christmas

DTbadge

It is Christmas in July! It is never too early to start making Christmas cards for 2017. For my card I used a digital image from Dilly Beans called, “Holly Framed Penguin.” I coloured the little critter with my Derwent Inktense Coloured Pencils. I added added a sprig of holly from my Stampendous, “Die & Rubber Stamp Set Pop Up Winter Tweets Birds Free Us.” The background paper acts as my sentiment.

Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge Extra – June 2017

chnc-challenge-extra-dt-button

This challenge will last for the whole month of June 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge – they are offering 4 digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

For my card, I used a “retired” Bugaboo stamp called Santa Ornament. I used a star filled patterned paper for my background. I drew three strings to hold the ornaments using a silver pen. One ornament is a sticker by Kaisercraft and the other is a sentiment sticker also from Kaisercraft, The third ornament is the digi stamp that I coloured using my Derwent Inktense Watercolour pencils. I fussy cut him out and adhered it to the card.

Note: Bugaboo adds new stamps every month. From time to time, they retire their older stamps. I would recommend signing up for their newsletter to keep appraised of all their sales, retirement sales, freebies, challenges, etc.
