C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 290- 18th of December – New (Year, Baby, Home, Job)

For this week’s challenge, you need to design something “New” as in new baby, new job, new home, etc. I decided on Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I used a wonderful word design sentiment from one of our sponsors, Inky Impressions, - Joys of the Season Sentiment- DIGITAL STAMP.

My card was really a quick card to create. I printed the focal sentiment for the front and created a generic computer generated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for the inside. Next I die cut them out using Spellbinders –  A2 Tranquil Moments. I layered the elements on both the front and inside. To add some extra, I die cut Poinsettia Spray by Cottage Kutz and added the “spray” to the front, and a single flower to the inside. From start to finish, I spent 11 minutes to create this white on white card. For bling, I covered the heart for the “o” from “of” with a gold gem.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge – Challenge 285 – 13th of November – Christmas

I have been invited to join the Design Team at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge. They host a new challenge every Thursday (ends the Wednesday prior to new challenge) I couldn’t wait to get started so I created my first card as an official DT member for Challenge 285 – 13th of November - Christmas (runs until November 19)

I used a stamp from one of our sponsors. It is from Stitchy Bear’s Digi Outlet – Christmas Candles 2 (Floppy Latte Designs). For something a little different, I printed the digi stamp on vellum, and coloured the back with Copic markers. (faux stain glass technique). On the front of the image, I added a little Wink of Stella around the candle glow and ribbon. I also used:

Die by Spellbinders – Labels 20
Die by CottageCutz – Poinsettia Spray
Die by Sue Wilson Dies – Festive Collection – Holly Spray                                                 Stamped Sentiment by Paper Smooches – Fresh Snow

Hello from the Pumpkin Patch

I got on a roll stamping pumpkins for the previous card, so I thought I would make another pumpkin themed” card. For this card I stamped, coloured, and cut out pumpkins from two different stamp sets: MFT - BB Witch Way Is the Candy? and SSS – Feast of Thanksgiving. I die cut the Trick or Treat Puppy from Cottage Kutz. I cut him out from Neenah Solar white paper and coloured him with Copics. I also used a fall embossing folder to add dimension to the background, the Hello die cut from MFT, and grass from Memory Box.

Throwback Thursday Challenge #2 at Stamping with Bibiana

Stamping with Bibiana has a great Challenge on her Blog. It is called Throwback Thursday, and invites you to re-post an old favorite blog post from the past, that applies to a theme. In this case, the theme is Halloween. I have only been recording my cards and entering challenges since January of this year. My earliest “Halloween” post was my Prima Doll October Tag from my “Nuts about Nutting” post from January 2014. Your can see the full blog post here.

October - Trick or Treat (2)

I love Julie Nutting’s Dolls by Prima. I  have them all! I was even lucky enough to take a cruise this June to Alaska, and took a course with her while on-board. It was fantastic. I made a tag for each month using the first 2 doll releases. I paper pieced her dress, and added die cuts from MFT and Cottage Kutz.

I missed the deadline for the challenge, but decided to post it anyway. Cheers

Inkspirational Challenge #54

This week’s challenge at Inkspirational was a sketch with a diagonal theme. I opted to use diecuts to create my card for the challenge. I used happy from Simon Says Stamps, Birthday from PI and a Pup from Cottage Kutz. For the pup, I die cut it on white cardstock and coloured with copics.
