The CHNCC this week is to design a Christmas project showing winter fun. What is more fun than getting outside and building a snowman? I used a stamp from Papertry Inc. called Winter Hills, and a snowman digi stamp from Dilly Beans stamps called 523 Heart Snowman. The sentiment is from MFT. I coloured the images with Copics, added some Stickles, and added some snowflake stickers from my stash.

This week at 52CCT,
Design Team member, Fabolia designed the Sketch. I love these challenges because they give you the card design aspect, and I especially love everyone’s interpretation of it. I used a cute stamp from Penny Black, Jolly Christmas Friends. I used Copics to colour my image, a sentiment from MFT, and paper from my stash to layer.

This week we at 52 CCTC
are trying a whole new technique to me. It is called Eraser Technique. For examples of this technique and the instruction check out the Eraser technique (here
). So I started with a blank A2 card and MFT’s Snow Flurry Stencil. I secured the stencil on my craft matt using masking tape. Next, I took a piece of sandpaper and brushed an HB pencil across it making lead dust. I used a clean distress ink sponge tool by Tim Holtz and picked up the dustings and ran the tool across the stencil leaving leaded snowflakes across the card. I stamped Penny Black’s, Snowy on the card. I then erased any snowflakes that showed on the stamped area. The final step was to colour the little snowman with Tombow markers in grey tones. The only colour I used was on his cheeks. The sentiment is from SSS.

This week’s 52 Christmas Card Challenge Throwdown
is Choral. For my card, I started by downloading Free Printable music sheets (I did a Google search). Once downloaded, I printed them to fit an A2 card. Next I distressed the music using Distress Ink. I decided to cut the sheet down further, curl the edges and mount them offset on the page. I added a little choir boy Digi stamp from Pure Innocent. I coloured him with Copic markers. For my final touch I added a few sequins.
