The Glory of Christmas – O Tannenbaum/Christmas Tree

Sidebarglorykleiner

Challenge #56 at The Glory of Christmas is O Tannenbaum/Christmas Tree. I have been playing with stamping within a stencil, and used this technique for my current card. I started by die cutting the largest tree from the Nellie Snellen - Christmas Tree Multi Frame Dies. To stamp the inside of the stencil, I used various stamps from Card-I-O - Festive Fir-Cones Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Set / Christmas Garden – Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Set. I used various Stampin Up & Distress inks. To finish the card off, I added stars die cuts from PI, and sentiment from IO - Holiday Bottom Word Edgers.

All About Her

I made a special card for a special lady in my life. It is a little early for Mother’s Day, but when I made this card, I thought it was perfect. I decorated both the inside and out. I started by tearing a piece of paper for the hilly background. Next using various Card-I-O Majestic peg stamps I created the flower border. The sentiment stamps are from SSS.

Easter Egg Cards Part 2

For this series of cards, I used the 4.25 x 5.5 card with the egg cut out as a stencil. I taped them over another card (same size) and stamped the flowers/leaves on the inside. Once done, I discarded the stencil, added a sentiment. Here are samples of the results.

Easter Egg Cards Part 1

The next series of cards started as 6 cards but ended as 12. My intention was to create an egg shape stencil using my new stamps by Card-IO/Magestix. I started by cutting down a couple sheets of 8.5×11 light weight white card stock into A2s. Next I used the largest three Cheery Lynn Nesting Egg Dies to cut out various egg shapes. I wasn’t planning on using the egg shaped cut out, just the stencil I created, but why let them go to waste or get lost in the back of my craft drawers, so I stamped them with the mini stamps. The results are below.
