C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 413 – 27th of April – Inspired by a Book

The CRAFT Design Team is challenging you to create a card based on a book. For this challenge, the book I picked is called, “Grumpy Old Men by David Quantick”. The digi stamp I selected is by Bugaboo Stamps called, “GUS BIRTHDAY – OLD FART.” I love Bugaboo Stamps, but Ihave a soft spot in my heart for Gus and Stella. I coloured Gus with my Copic Marker, and added Glossy Accents to his glasses for that little extra. The stamp comes with the sentiment, but I wanted a slightly different arrangement so I computer generated it to fit with my card design.

This challenge will last for the whole month of January 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge – they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

For this month’s card, I used “Plush Ornament” by Bugaboo (retired). I coloured him with my Derwent Watercolour Inktense pencils. I attached him to a snow covered tree background paper from my stash and added a Merry Christmas Sticker from Kaisercraft.

Note: While this particular stamp has been discontinued, Bugaboo has a similar stamp called Rudolph – ornament.

Simply Create Too – #125- Lots of Green – MARCH 3 TO MARCH 31

simple-create-too-logo-for-dt

When I think March and Green I think, St. Patrick’s Day! It is super special as it was the day Ron and I got married. We got married amidst snow, freezing rain and “green” beers! March 17th would have marked our 35th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, I lost Ron to Heart failure, but I still remember each and every St. Patrick’s Day fondly.

Our theme is lots of Green. I used an adorable little “Irish” sheep from Bugaboo Stamps as the main feature of my card(s). I coloured him with Copic markers, fussy cut him out and popped him onto my card base use foam tape. I added St. Patrick’s Day stickers from my stash to finish off my card. I hope you like it!

For my card I used Bugaboo’s “Christmas Jar”. I coloured it with my  Spectrum Noir Markers. I used a patterned paper from my stash with numerous sentiments on it, focusing on the large Joy on the right lower corner. I also added some glittered snowflake stickers.

Bugaboo makes a whole series of jars for every occasion. Please check them out!
