The C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 464 is all about “NEW” – new baby, new job, new home, New Year’s, etc. I decided to create a card for a new car. I used Bugaboo’s - Gus Tidbits – New Truck. I coloured Gs and his truck with Copic markers and added a little chrome detail, plus glossy accents on his spectacles. This digital stamp also comes with a funny sentiment which I added to the inside of the card. I love Gus and Bugaboo has numerous digital stamps based on this character and his wife.

This week’s challenge at Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is to make a Christmas Project using a Star or two. I decided to go all out. I used two different star embossing folders to create the starred background, then added a cute digi stamp snowman holding a star by Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the stamp using Derwent Inktense Watercolour pencils. The sentiment is by Paper Smoothes.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Challenge – March 2018 – Embossing

For the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Challenge, the design team challenges you to make a Christmas card using a wet or dry embossing technique. For my card, I used the dry technique. I embossing a clear sheet of acetate with a snowflake embossing folder by Tim Holtz. I used a snowflake patterned paper behind the acetate and a fun “fat” snowman digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps on top. The coloured my little snowman with Copic Markers. The diecut sentiment, Let it Snow, also has a little embossed element to it. For the final touch, I added three snowflake buttons from my stash.
I look forward to seeing your techniques!

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge – January 20 – Use a sentiment

For this week’s Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge we want you to use a sentiment as a feature of your card. For my image, I used a retired Bugaboo Stamp featuring a Reindeer. I coloured him with Copics and fussy cut him out and glued him to the card front. For the sentiment I chose a large die cut from Paper Smooches simply titled Season’s Greetings.

Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge Extra December 2017

This challenge will last for the whole month of December 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge – they are offering 4 digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

I love the crow/chicken digis on Bugaboo’s Site. The great thing about digis is you can resize them, flip them, remove and add things. In this case, I made the fall digi into a Christmas one. The stamp is called, “Crow”, but I oted to make him a chicken. Once I coloured him, for drama I debossed it with a retired Stampin Up embosing folder called Northern Lights. The final step was to assemble my card and stamp a sentiment from Penny Black’s Festive Snippets and add a few gems..
