It is the end of March and “hopefully” Sring is in the air! The CRAFT design team challenges you to make a Spring or Easter card. I think of Spring and I automatically think of flowers. For this challenge, I used a beautiful digi by Eureka Stamps called, “Abstract Flower Digital Stamp”. I printed the images using my laserjet printer and Cannonwatercolour paper.I coloured it with watercolour paints - Finetec MICA WATERCOLOR PEARLESCENT Paint 6, ig Kuretake Gansai Tambi 24 COLOR SET, and Prima watercolour crayons. The Hello die is from Impression Obsessions.

This week at 52CCC, we are asking you to make a card featuring Santa. For my card, I reconstructed some tags I made a couple of years ago featuring Tim Holtz’s stamps, dies, and embellishments. Some of the products I used include: Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Pinecone Dies, Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Mini Snowflake Rosettes, Tim Holtz Santa Sketch Christmas Stamp u2-1279, Rock Candy glaze, distress inks, Christmas tags, and more.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Design Team’s challenge this week is to make a card using no patterned paper. I decided to create my own background door by using various rectangle cuts of card stock. Once the door was finished, I added a Christmas Wreath die by Tim Holtz and a brad for the doorknob. I even created a tag on the wreath using the vintage Santa stamp on Shrinky Dinky plastic. The inside of my card reads, “Merry Christmas from Our Home to Yours.”
I look forward to see your creations.
The CRAFT Challenge this week is Animals. I used a “Must Have” stamp by DRS called, “Stained Glass.” DSR Designs actually make a number of variations of these stamps and that allow you to make a stained glass effect using them in combination with your other stamps. For more information, please check out their website and this fabulous tutorial. http://www.drsdesigns.com/stained-glass-pine-tree-card/. Also, you can run a search for DRS on my site to see other cards I have made.
For this card, I simply used the stained glass stamp to create a fun background for my deer die cuts. I coloured the background with Copic markers and added the deer, trees, frame, snowflakes, and sentiment.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge this week is to make a Santa card. I decided to use a couple of my die cuts from Marianne Design Collectibles – Eline’s Santa COL1391 and Eline’s Reindeer. I cut them out of foil and plain coloured paper fro my stash.
