52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Any Shape/Multiple Layers

Our design team challenge you to make a Shaped Christmas Card with multiple layers. If you have a Cricut or Silhouette there are thousands of SVG files for different shaped cards. The die cut companies also make a variety of shaped card designs. For my card I used a die by Sizzix called, Winter Wishes Collection – Christmas – Thinlits Die – Card, Christmas Tree Fold-a-Long. I chose to use two different card stocks – one patterned, one solid. I also used gold foiled and green glitter cardstock for sentiment, star, and ornaments. Everything is included with the die cut set but paper, glue and die cutting machine. While the design looks very complex, it was very easy to make, and the results are very pretty.

Note: If you don’t have a die cut machine or electronic cutting machines you can design your own shaped cards. If you do a google search you will discover many site with free card shape templates and you only need paper and scissors. As any shape goes, you can also use a square or A2 card as well. I hope you will join us. I look forward to seeing your creations.

What a fab card, definitely a gift – it would make a lovely ornament, sure it’ll be kept and reused by the lucky recipient.
