C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 287 – 27th of November – Christmas Present

Our challenge this week is at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge – Christmas Present! I chose to use a fun little stamp from one of our sponsors, Bugaboo Digi Stamps, called  ”Merry Christmas to Ewe!”. I love Bugaboo Stamps. They have so many digis to choose from. They have this little gal (she is an Ewe after all!) made up for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Easter, St. Patty’s Day and more. They also have a full line-up of other fun characters! Be sure to check them out!

Digis are great because you can print them in any size, and you can easily flip the direction. I printed 5 stamps and make 5 different card designs. All the cards are A2 size. I used Copic markers – R27, BG10, C5, C6 – to colour her. After that I used different elements to complete the cards.

Card one: I used a single sheep and added an embossed background using the Northern Flurries embossing folder by Stampin’ Up. I embellished the card with some glossy accents (on eyes and candy cane) and red gems. The is a vertical design. This card was super fast to create. I printed the digi stamp on a 4.25 x 5.5 sheet of Neenah White card stock. I colour him with Copics, ran him through my Big Shot with the embossing folder, trimmed the card stock to 4 x 5.25, rounded the corners, layered it on a 4.25 x 5.5 red card stock, rounded the corners, adhered to A2 card, added gems and layered sentiment. I was finished in less than 15 minutes (and that includes getting the supplies and printing the digi stamp and sentiment, and photographing it) Note: I did have to set aside to let the glossy accents dry before I put it away.

For my next cards, I used two sheep, and made them in a horizontal format.

Card two: This was a pretty simple card to made. I printed both the sheep and sentiment on the same card stock. The snowflakes are stickers I purchased at Dollar Tree. I added glossy accents to their eyes and added small pompoms to their hats.

Card three: This was another simple card. I used Spellbinders die - A2 Distressed Edges to make the three layers, I have added glossy accents to the eyes and candy cane, the Let it Snow snowflakes Die-namics from MFT, and a red gem to finish.

Card four: I added extra dimension to my card by adding hills and trees. I used the MFT  Die-Namics – Tree Lines die set. I cut two pieces of card stock (green dotted and white) and paper pieced them together. I added additional hills with stickles. I added glossy accents to the eyes, and pompoms to the hats.

Card five: My final and most complex card. I used the Frostyville Frame by MFT and cut out the white snow frame. I also cut out the blank frame in red card stock and layered them on the sheep. I had the modify the frame slightly so the sheep weren’t completely covered.  I also used the Let it Snow snowflakes Die-namics from MFT, pearls, and glossy accents on eyes and candy cane.

You have until December 3rd to enter, I hope to see you there.
