This week the C.R.A.F.T. team is looking for a Christmas themed project. In my travels, I came across a wonderful stamp store in Campbellford, Ontario called, Holiday Geese by The Frog’s Whiskers. I even met the stamp designer/artist and purchased a number of her stamps. I coloured the geese with my Copic Markers and added clear and gold stickles for the added drama. I layered the image on cardstock from my stash.

This week at Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenges we are looking for the added feature of buttons. I used a darling Fergus – Polar Bear Stamp from Hobby Art Ltd. I coloured him with Copics, fussy cut him out, added him the paper from my stash, and embellished the card using 3 white snowflake buttons. The sentiment is a paper sticker from Kaisercraft.

DT Badge

The 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Design Team has a Colour Challenge – Pink, Blue, and Green.  I used one of my favourite digi stamps called, “Hangin’ with my Gnomies”, by Whimsey Doodles. I coloured the gnomes in pinks, backed it in blues, add blue snowflakes, and pretty pastel ornament paper from Kaisercraft.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 490 – 8th of November – Christmas Present

This week at C.R.A.F.T.  we are looking for a Christmas Present theme. I have had the privilege of touring Russia twice. While there I fell in love with their Matryoshka – The Russian Nesting Doll. It’s hard to find a symbol of Russia more popular than the traditional Russian nesting doll. These decorated wooden dolls “with a secret” are also called matryoshka dolls or babushka dolls. They are recognized even in the countries a thousand miles away from Russia. They are used as gifts thus my thinking presents.

I used a digi set called Russian Dolls by All Dressed Up. I made three dolls that will literally fit into of each other with the final doll having a Christmas message. I printed the dolls out on my laser printer, then ran them through my Minc foiler machine. I coloured them with my Spectra noir markers.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 410 – Use some glitter

CHNC blog button DT

The week at Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is looking for Glitter this week. I selected an adorable snowman (retired) from MFT. I coloured him with Copic markers, then I “painted” a little white glue over the image then poured some Stickles Diamond Dust Glitter on it. I used a circle die to remove a circle from my SSS woodgrain cardstock, then taped the image behind it. I added a glitter bow and mounted it on the card front. The sentiment is from cardstock by Lawn Fawn.
