For the last C.R.A.F.T. sketch of 2018, I decided to use some of my flower dies with a simple teacup digi from Dr, Digi’s House of Stamps. I started by printing the digi cup on patterned cardstock. To add dimension, I added a similar tone to add shadow and water to the cup, glue it to the card front and added flowers and leaves to resemble a bouquet of flowers. I added the inked Hello friend sentiments from SSS.

For this week’s challenge, the CHNCCC Design Team is looking for a project that you have created the pattern paper. I used a wonderful stamp/die set (retired) from MFT called BB Cool Day. With the set, there are two polar bears, and iceberg, sign, and extras – mittens, cup, heart, snowflake. Using the latter, I randomly stamped them on a blank card front, then coloured them with my Copics. Next, I stamped, coloured, and diecut the bears, ice and sign. I cut a smaller piece of blank neehan solar white cardstock and arranged the bears, sign on the ice. Voila.

For our 52CCT Challenge, the design team is looking for a little glitz and glamour, so our Stash Challenge we want to see Ribbon and Glitter! I started with this adorable snowman from MFT (retired) Pure Innocence Happy Heart Snowman. I stamped and coloured him with Copics. Next, I put a small amount of white glue on my craft mat, added a drop of water, then using a small paint brush, brushed glue over the snowman. Before it dried, I dumped Ranger diamond dust glitter on it, lightly tapped the back and voila! The extra glitter which was on a dry sheet of paper was poured back into the bottle. I punched a large round hole into a wood textured paper, mounted the snowman behind the opening, add ribbon and assembled it on a blank A2 card.

This week at C.R.A.F.T. invites you to show us your handmade embellishments. To make my card I started with an adorable clear stamp/die set from Sweet n Sassy called, Snowman Soup. I started by stamping the snowmen and colouring them with my Copics. Next I die cut them out and set aside. I also made a small rosette by cutting a long strip of cardstock and using my score board scored a line every other indent. Next I fan folders the strip, joined the ends and glued one of the diecut snowmen in the center for stability. Once I had all my pieces together I assempled my card. I used one of the sentiments from the same stamp set.

The 52CCT Theme Challenge is to make a card using a snowglobe. I created my snowglobe by die-cutting a snowglobe frame using Creative Expressions Craft Dies by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Snow Globe. Next, I printed a digi stamp by Heart Snowman by Dilly Beans Stamps. I coloured him with Copics, then using the same die, cut the image out to fit the centre of the globe. I die cut the bottom of the snowglobe and manually cut out the lacey band and glued it in light pearl silver onto the shiny silver base. I also diecut a circle of vellum to add over the snowman image to make it look like a snowglobe.
Please join us each week, and we will endeavour to help you with your Christmas card stash.
