This week’s challenge at Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is to make a Christmas Project using a Star or two. I decided to go all out. I used two different star embossing folders to create the starred background, then added a cute digi stamp snowman holding a star by Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the stamp using Derwent Inktense Watercolour pencils. The sentiment is by Paper Smoothes.

For the CRAFT Challenge 261, we are looking for a Shaped Card. I used a SVG file from The Cutting Cafe and my Cricut Explore Air called Teacup Card Set. This set includes 2 different teapot designs, plus envelopes. If you don’t own a Silhouette, Cricut, Brother cutting machine, no worries because the Cutting Cafe also includes the template pattern that allows you to manual cut out the card. I also added a flower I created using one of my dies from Marianne Designs, The sentiment id from SSS.

This week at Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge we are looking for a Christmas project inspired by a Christmas Song or Carol. I went a little rogue this week and based my Card on a modified version of Justin Timberlake’s “Bringing Sexy Back” to “Bringing Sexy Sweaters Back”. I used a fabulous stamp set by Simon Says Stamps – Ugly Sweaters and Sweater Words. I coloured the images with my Spectrum Noir Markers and Zig Wink of Stella Clear. I framed my image with some candy cane striped paper from my stash.

For the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Technique Challenge
, the design team challenges you to make a Christmas card using a wet or dry embossing technique. For my card, I used the dry technique. I embossing a clear sheet of acetate with a snowflake embossing folder by Tim Holtz. I used a snowflake patterned paper behind the acetate and a fun “fat” snowman digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps on top. The coloured my little snowman with Copic Markers. The diecut sentiment, Let it Snow, also has a little embossed element to it. For the final touch, I added three snowflake buttons from my stash.
I look forward to seeing your techniques!
