C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 398 – 12th of January – Box or Bag

DTbadgeLast fall I updated my Cricut machine to the new Cricut Explore Air. My new machine will allow you to use any SVG files and this week’s sponsor, The Cutting Cafe, has many adorable cuts available. Note: If you don’t have cutting machine, they also make templates available that you can print on your computer and hand cut as well. For mxy project, I used the Umbrella Treat Box. The flowrs were created with the two part flower/leaf punches by Nellie Snellen.

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Sketch

 CCT - Design For Badge

Hello everyone. I am very excited to announce that I have been asked to be a member of the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Design team. Our first challenge for 2017 is a sketch challenge. If you invert the sketch you will see how I came up with my card design. My card to very simple, yet it has that touch of elegance. I use a wonderful die from Craft Dies by Sue Wilson – Festive Collection – Christmas Tree Greeting. I cut it out twice – once with the green glitter paper and once with the white glitter paper. Next I cut a piece of the white glitter paper 5.5 x 4.25, green 5.25 x 4, white 5 x 3.75, green 4.75 x 3.25, white 4.25 x 3 and layered them on top of each other. I slightly offset the die cut tree and glued to the top. For the final step I taped the card topper to card base.

I am so excited to have joined Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge Extra . I worked with Hazel on The Glory of Christmas as a member of their Design Team and she was fabulous. I love card making and especially love “Christmas” card making.

This challenge will last for the whole month of January 2017 – anything goes as long as it’s Christmas – it doesn’t have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it’s Christmas!

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge – they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

For my first card(s) I used Christmas rocking horse by Bugaboo. I hand painted this image using Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils. Once complete, I cut the horse out and layered it on top on Kaisercraft paper. The sentiments are tags from Kaisercraft as well. I made this card in pink and blue for a little girl and little boy.
