Simply Create Too – Challenge 93 – IT’S A SPECIAL OCCASION

Our current challenge at Simply Create Too is “IT’S A SPECIAL OCCASION”. What could be more Special than a new baby? I made this card in anticipation of a new baby girl my BBF’s daughter is having. I am the honourary G-ma and this will be baby number 2 to a very special couple.

I used a stamp by A Day for Daisies called Bundle of Fairy Love. I coloured the image with Copic markers, then added Wink of Stella to the wings. Next I die cut the image and background using Spellbinders - A2 Tranquil Moments, Opulent Ovals, Moroccan Accents. I finished it off with some gems from my stash.

For this week’s challenge I broke out my Cricut machine and made a schoolhouse using Cricut cartridge – Autumn Celebrations. The little school girl was made with MFT - BB Class Act. I coloured her with Copic Markers, fussy cut her out and added her to the card using dimensionals. Gosh I can’t believe it is that time of year already!

The Glory of Christmas – Challenge 65 – Silver or Gold

SidebarglorykleinerThe current challenge is to create a card using Silver or Gold. I opted for silver with white being my neutral non colour. This was an extremely easy card to make, however I think it looks quite elegant.

I started with cutting out the snowflake background and adhering it to the card front. Next I die cut two of the large snowflakes: one in white, one in silver glitter paper. I offset them and glued them t lower lower corner. Added sentiment button. The whole card took less than 7 minutes.

Products Used:
Impression Obsession – Snowflake Background die
Simon Says Stamp – Funky Snowflake Craft die (cut twice)
Lawn Lawn – button

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 323 – 6th of August – Recipe.

Recipe06082015This week, the CRAFT team’s challenge is a Recipe challenge. For my card I used a newer release by A Day for Daisies called Skinny Maiden. I printed her twice, once on Neenah Solar White, and once on patterned paper. I coloured her with Copics, then paper pieced her dress. The rolled flowers die is from MFT.

1 image – Skinny Maiden

2 shapes – two different shaped pieces to make main card

3 papers – the paper for her dress, the paper for background, and the paper for the roses

4 gems – 4 clear gems
