Butterfly Fairy

I love the digis at Delicious Doodle – AKA: ArtiDoodles. I made this card using one of her stamps called Fae. I coloured her with Copics, added a little glossy accents to her eyes, and glitter to her wings. Because the image is so detailed. I opted for a simple card front.

Why I love Digis!

I love digi stamps because you can resize them! I just made two cards using Tiddly Inks – Faythe Flies. For my first card I sized her the fit a standard A2 card in full length. For the second card I enlarger her, rotated her slightly and printed only a partial image. Both cards are similar yet different.

Card 1:  I coloured her with Copic markers and made her hair brown. I paper pieced the dress with the same paper I used for the background. I added a diecut butterfly, and a sentiment for Justrite.

Card 2: I coloured her with Copic markers, making her hair blonde. I wanted to keep the card very simple and left lots of white space. For this card I did not include a sentiment, but may do so at later date or just leave it as is.

Someone so Special …

sympathy4I made my card using Taylored Expressions – SEASONAL TREES Die Set TE448. I wanted to make a sympathy card, so I opted for a white on white feel, with minimal colour. I first cut out the trees. On another piece of card stock I estimated how deep the sky/land should be and with Distress Inks (Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, and Mowed Lawn) Lightly inked the background. I also added a small seagull from Impression Obsession’s – Sea Birds Die. The sentiment is by Verve Stamps - Forever in our Hearts.

Summer Life

With such a long winter, I am hopeful that warm summer weather is coming soon. I love the paper tearing technique.  I created the beach scene with a little distress ink – Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemon, Salty Ocean, and Peacock Feathers – torn card stock, and Impression Obsession – Sea Birds,

With Deepest Sympathy

Unfortunately I needed to refill my Sympathy card stash, and I was looking for a CAS card suitable for a man or woman. The focal point is Impression Obsession’s - Sea Birds dies. I made 3 versions of the card. I used a With Sympathy Embossing folder for the sentiment for the first card, and a sentiment from ’Ballerina Rose’ Stamp Set By AnnaBelle Stamps. I die cut the birds from a different white card stock to give them more dimension.
