The Glory of Christmas – Challenge 62 – Presents

The Glory of Christmas – Challenge 62  is Presents. For this challenge, I broke out all my Newton’s Nook “Newton the Cat” stamps. I knew I anted to make a multi-fold card before I started but I had not decided on a step, cascade or shutter fold version. I Copic coloured my 7 cat designs, making each cat different. I used: NEWTON’S HOLIDAY MISCHIEF / NEWTON’S BIRTHDAY BASH / NEWTONS ANTICS. Once I finished colouring and cutting them out, I decided to make a shutter fold card. Vs trying to tell you how the card is made, I would refer you to this fabulous video that Sandy Allnock made. This adapted version even gives you some writing space!

The Glory of Christmas – Challenge 61 – Snow

SidebarglorykleinerOur current challenge at The Glory of Christmas is Snow. I made a very simple card that actually took me lrss than 8 minutes from start to finish. I started by die cutting Penny Black’s - Leap Of Joy Christmas Reindeer and retired MFT – Large Snowflake. I added the two silver large silver snowflake sticker to the top right, and bottom left. Next I glued on the MFT Snowflake with Reindeer die on top. Finally I filled in the spaces with more snowflake stickers and a sentiment. I bought all the stickers from Dollar tree last winter. Easy-Breezy with stunning results!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 315 – 11th of June – Christmas

This week’s challenge helps you start saving up your Christmas cards so you are not rushing at the last moment. I used an adorable digi stamp by Rick St Dennis MFA-Digital Stamp Art called We Three Geese. I started by colouring them with Copic markers. I added bling with adding clear Wink of Stella to the geese, glossy accents to their eyes, and various Tim Holtz Stickles to the gems. I layered the stamp on blue and gold card stock, and finished with some pearls. In the photo you may not notice, but this card really sparkles!

Smiley Snowman

When I am in the colouring mood, I always make at least two images just in case. Both images turned out great, so I made two different card versions using a snowmen by  Dragonsmoore Spyder’s Other Corner’s image – Smiley Snowman Digital Stamp 4116. I designed my card to fit into the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge - #161 {Sparkle. Bling and Shine!}. I made this one layer card using Neenah Solar White 100lb weight so the Copic colours would not shine through. The snowflakes are stickers I purchased last winter. I also added some pearls for that extra bling. I also entered Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes With A twist One Layer Only…..

For my second card. I used the same stamp only reversed it. I added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Paper stack, and framed it inside a Memory Box – SURELY STITCHED SQUARE Craft Die 99076. I entered this card into ABC Christmas Challenge – Keep it Simple

Clean and Simple – With Sympathy

sympathyI wanted to make a clean and simple card, yet elegant at the same time. I purchased a number of beautiful Flourish die cuts by Marianne Designs – LR0344 Anja’s border Elegant. I die cut/embossed the flourish on plain white card stock and backed it with a textured blue. The sentiment is from SSS - HANDWRITTEN BORDERS.
