For our challenge this week at C.R.A.F.T. we want your project to be inspired by film. I made a fun little card featuring Hobbybook‘s digital stamp - Jolly Santa. I started by colouring old St. Nick with Copic Markers. I layered two different Christmas papers for the background, and joined them with a punch scalloped border from American Craft. The Joy sentiment is from Tim Holtz’s. For added fun I mounted Santa on an Action Wooble, and he jiggles back and forth! With so many Santa Claus movies, it was hard not to be inspired by them all, but I have to say my most favourite is the classic – Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
Please join us March 26th until April 1st.
I entered my card into the following:
Christmas Card Challenge – Anything Goes
Challenge #56 at The Glory of Christmas is O Tannenbaum/Christmas Tree. I have been playing with stamping within a stencil, and used this technique for my current card. I started by die cutting the largest tree from the Nellie Snellen - Christmas Tree Multi Frame Dies. To stamp the inside of the stencil, I used various stamps from Card-I-O - Festive Fir-Cones Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Set / Christmas Garden – Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Set. I used various Stampin Up & Distress inks. To finish the card off, I added stars die cuts from PI, and sentiment from IO - Holiday Bottom Word Edgers.
Please join us. The challenge runs from March 22nd until April 3rd.
I entered my card into a draw at Darlene’s March Challenge: Stencils
At C.R.A.F.T. this week’s challenge is to make a project for Mother’s Day or for a Female. I opted to the latter. As my God daughter is expecting her second child, a baby girl, I thought I would make a Baby girl card. I used one of our sponser’s, Little Miss Muffet Stamps, digital images called Babe Superstar. I made two versions of my card. I coloured to baby girl with Copics and added a little Wink of Stella to the star. I layered the image using a variety of paper from my stash. I added some pearls and a ducky charm embellished. The sentiment Baby is from PI, and Welcome by Paper Smooches.
I made a second card design for this challenge. Once again using a digital stamp for our sponsor, Little Miss Muffet, called Polka Dot Pals Arkan . I made fun little princess cards for a couple of little princesses in my life. The castle stamp is from Scrappin Doodles - Freddy The Knight In Shining Armour Line Art. I coloured the images with my Copic markers, added a little Wink of Stella glitter to her dress and hair. As normal I made a couple of variations of the card – changing colours, size of the digis, different papers, format, gems, etc. The sentiment are from Hero Arts and Stampin Up.

I entered the following challenges:
Card 5 – Creative Moments - Challenge 64 Anything GoesCard for a Special “young” Lady
Just Inspiration – Flourish and Bling (used pearl flourish & jeweled crown)
For the current challenge, Cardz 4 Guyz challenged us to make a Male card of favorite hobbies/pastimes. My late husband loved to make home made pizza, and they were truly wonderful (I can’t say that about his Chinese cooking-lol). In honour of all those great “home chefs” out there I made this card.
I hand coloured the outline digi of The Pizza Man by The Paper Shelter with Copic Markers. I fuzzy cut him out and set aside. Next I made my Pizza dough & green pepper using a scallop die from Spellbinders, and various round dies from MFT – Circle Stax for the sauce/olives/pepperoni/cheese. For the pepperoni I added detail with Copic markers. I also brushed the edges of some of the die cuts with Distress Inks. The sentiment was computer generated. The background paper was from my stash.
I am entering this card into the following:
Cardz 4 Guyz – Challenge # 61 Hobbies/Pastimes (Cooking)

The challenge at Simply Create Too is Easter or Bunnies. For this challenge I used one of my favorite stamps by Hambo Stamps – Spring Bunnies! I coloured these little characters with Copics, added a stamped sentiment from CTMH – My Peeps, and some dimensional flowers using Nellie Snellen punches.
