Fall Cards – Halloween/Autumn/Thanksgiving

I had lots of fun putting together some fall cards. As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, I volunteered to make cards for the residents at the Belmont Nursing Home.vIt is a little way I can Pay it Forward to the excellent care they provided for my mother in her last years. I make cards for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Birthdays, plus Sympathy cards. I also make cards for their tuck shop.

For this card I used Dollar Moon Spider by Bugaboo and a red the image with Copics, and used various papers from my stash.

I love this “Trick or Treat” Feet stamp by Bugaboo. I coloured them with Copics, added a ribbons and some fun paper and – instant card!

I love Fall. It is my favorite time of year, especially since moving to Ontario and being blessed with the beautiful Autumn colours! This stamp is called Autumn Jar by Bugaboo. I oloured the image with Copics, and layered it on some neutral papers.

My final card was designed for a Challenge that I missed the time line on. I used a plain kraft background so my Candy Corn Mummy by Bugaboo would pop. I coloured him with Copics.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

I entered this card into Sentimental Sundays Challenge #226 Use Kraft Cardstock,  Aud Sentiments Challenge - Challenge 116 – Halloween Sentiment and A Gem of a Challenge - Challenge #129 CLEAN and SIMPLE

Pals Paper Arts – PPA221 – A Sketch Challenge

This card was inspired by the latest challenge at Pals Paper Arts – PPA221

I had a little fun with this challenge in so much as I made the “framed” blocks as an abstract painting, and the little Candy Corn Mummy by Bugaboo as the artist. I was playing off the challenge blog name- Pals Paper “ART”. I cut out 4 Large Madison Windows by Memory Box – black/white/yellow/white. Next I cut down the black die cut to look like a frame, and then cut the window panes into three shapes and pieced them together to make the abstract of the corn. The papers are from my stash.

The Cutting Edge Challenge #11

The Cutting Edge Challenge #11 has a great “sketch” this week. I decided to use my Grid die by Simon Says Stamps and I backed it in white/yellow/orange (the colours of candy corn). My image is from Bugaboo called Halloween Mummy with Candy Corn. I coloured him with Copic markers. The accent the die cut, I added two thin strips of matching card stock to the right. I also added a few die cut few from Memory Box in the upper right.

TCEC_11I also entered this card into Kitty Bee Designs – Challenge #33 Fall

UPDATE:  I placed in the Top 3 at The Cutting Edge Challenge
