I was looking to make a “purr-fect” Get Well Soon card for a friend from work who was in the hospital in Kingston. I used a digi stamp by Tiddly Inks, and the verse is from The Big Bang Theory, a song Sheldon wants sung to him when he is not feeling well. I coloured the Kitty with Copics, fussy cut her, and popped her up on the card. I made the verse background on the computer. Note: I cannot take credit for the concept of this card, that would have to go to JanR at huhsothisisablog.blogspot.ca.
UPDATE: My card was selected twice as a Favorite of the Week ending August 31, 2014 at Splitcoast Stampers. See post #124 and #131 at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/general-stamping-talk-f17/favorites-week-ending-august-31-2014-a-t591485-4.html
I thought the image needed a simple and straightforward design, so when I saw the latest sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch I thought it was perfect for A Sign I Give by A Day for Daisies. The sentiment is from PI, and the star die is Memory Box. I also scored 6 lines using my scor-pal. I also entered my card into MFP-Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge Week 226
For this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge. Summer is slowly coming to an end, heavy sigh. I decided to use my Dearie Doll – Inner Tube Girl. I coloured her with Copics, and a sentiment from PI – Heart to Heart.
For the Creative Moments Challenge, anything goes – animals, and I love this little birdbrain martini stamp by From the Heart Stamps. I kept the card relatively CAS, adding a little design twist by die cutting and separating the lower patterned card stock with the Snow Drift die by MFT. I coloured the birds with Copics.
I just got these beautiful stamps from Clearly Besotted- Thinking of You. I coloured them using derwent inktense pencils. I started by stamping on Tim Holtz watercolour paper with Versafine Black. I added a little colour around the edges and with a wet aquabrush moved the colour into or away from the stamped lines. I entered my card into MFP-Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge Week 226
