The Glory of Christmas Challenge 41 – Bingo

The Glory of Christmas Challenge is Bingo. You can selected any row – vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. I selected the middle row across Snowflake, Stamp or Digi, Glitter. I normally don’t do glitter because no matter how careful I am, I am cleaning up glitter everywhere for weeks!

For my card, I used an ADORABLE Digi Stamp – Chubby Snowman Scarf by Bugaboo Stamps. I printed out the stamp, coloured him with Copics, then “painted” him with Tombow Mono glue, and sprinkled Ranger Stickles Dry Fine Glitter STAR DUST. I also added die cut snowflakes from Paper Smooches and SSS. The sentiment die cut is from Paper Smooches. I added a few gems for accents

ABC Christmas Card Challenge – Q is for Quick & Easy

The current challenge at ABC Christmas Card Challenge is “Q”uick and easy. I took the challenge very literally. I made my card in less than 5 minutes, however it turned out very classy and elegant!. I just received a new die from Memory Box called, “Dazzling Snowflake”. I made my card base (A2) . I cut a piece of shiny silver card stock 4. 25 x 5.5 and taped to the front of card. Next I cut a piece of textured linen white 4 x 5.25, centered my die, ran it through my Big Shot, popped it up on dimensionals, and added the sentiment, “Joy” and my card was finished. Very Quick, very easy, very CAS.

Update: My card was selected as one of the Top 3 at the ABC Christmas Card Challenge.

Create Stencil Style – Stamping with a Stencil

I just received an order from SSS of Memory Box stencils and dies so I decided to use a stencil as a stamp. I took my new Memory Box GARDEN BIRCH LANDSCAPE Designer Stencil, covered it with versamark ink, pressed it on to black cardstock, ran it through my Big Shot to ensure good coverage, coated it with Ranger’s Gold embossing powder and heat set. I had some stray embossing powder around the trees, but I thought it looked like stars in the evening sky and left it. I added the Memory Box Deer Trio and Fresh Cut Grass die cuts, and 2 cardinals from Impression Obsession’s Birch Tree dies, layered the images and my card was complete.

Snowman and Snowflakes

I was busy coloring last month, and I thought I would make up a few cards today with my stash of images. This happy fellow is called Snowman with Snow Words by Whipper Snapper Designs. I coloured him with Copics, fussy cut around him, embossed the card face with folder from Stampin Up, added some gems, removed 1.5 inch of the right side of card, hung snowman over edge, and added a slice of patterned cardstock to the inside of the card to finished him off.

Merry and Bright Tangled Mess

This certainly has happened to everyone. No matter how carefully you are packing them away the year before you always have a tangled mess when they come out of the box. I finally bought one of those prelit tree and so far so good!

I used Pig Tangle from Hambo Stamps. I coloured him with Copics, and highlighted the bulbs with glossy accents. The sentiment and cardstock is from Lawn Fawn.
