Splitcoast Stampers Lovefest 2014 Challenge

I have been a member of Splitcoast Stampers for over a year, and while I love viewing their site, I have never uploaded any of my work. They are hosting a wonderful challenge so I actually posted 11 entries. I posted them directly to Splitcoast’s site but I thought I should also add them to my blog.

Day 1 LOVEFEST2014A - Puppy Love hosted by the Splitcoast Crew
Puppy LoveFor my card, I used a stamp from Whipper Snapper – Wriggley. The sentiment is computer generated.

Day 2 LOVEFEST2014B - Lovey Dovey Spring hosted by Stamping Bella

Lovely Dovey

I took the challenge literally and used a dove! I picked a stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs – Birdie Bliss and used Spring soft colours with heart and flowers.

Day 3 LOVEFEST2014C - Doodle Do hosted by Taylored Expressions

Doodle Do

I doodled dash lines for more interest on the cup holders. The stamps and dies are from Taylored Expressions – Joe to go. I layered my white card base with Neenah Desert Storm kraft paper that I cut down to further hint at a takeout cup.

Day 4 LOVEFEST2014D The joys, benefits and challenges of crafting OCD! hosted by Stamp-n-Storage
The joys...

For this challenge we were asked to share our organizational skills and include pictures of our crafting area. Well mine is a mess. I have spots for everything, however I tend not to put things back where they belong. I purchased numerous photo boxes from Michael’s when they were on sale, and I have put most of my stamps in Avery Elle storage bags and then I keep my stamp by manufacturer. I also upload all my stamps, dies and embossing folders to pinterest so I have a virtual library.

Day 5 LOVEFEST2014E Inspiration Challenge hosted by The Cat’s Pajamas
TCP Inspiration

CHALLENGE : They put together 3 photos to use as inspiration for our project. I used the iron gate theme. I created a white on white card using Spellbinders  - Gilded gate 2 and A2 Fancy Weave, plus MFT – Die-namics Keys and Locks

Day 6 LOVEFEST2014F Color Challenge hosted by Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps
Colour Challenge

I used the four challenge colours-kraft, red, pink and white. I used MFT – Pure Innocence Love Is in the Air stamp, and the oval stax dies.

Day 7 LOVEFEST2014G Let’s Score! hosted by Scor-Pal

Let's Score

As this challenge was sponsored by scor-pal, I used an embossing folder and Scored lines as a decorative accent to the right side. Please excuse the photo, but I put the card on a tilt to highlight the embossing.

Day 8 LOVEFEST2014H Heartfelt Greetings Challenge hosted by My Favorite ThingsHeartfelt Greeting

I found a sheet of postcards in my stash. They overpowered my stamped images, so I cut three postcards down, then added the little girl from MFT – Pure Innocence Will You Be Mine?

Day 9 LOVEFEST2014I Die Crazy Challenge hosted by Simon Says Stamp

Die Crazy

I used the Lovebirds die – Cottage Kutz. I also added a heart button for the little extra love

Day 10 LOVEFEST2014J Cute & Fun or Classy & Elegant Challenge hosted by Paper Smooches

Cute & Fun

Paper Smooches have some of the most unique characters. I love their little critters. I used three of the Chubby Chums. I added the sentiments. I also used the tri-block die from Simon Says Stamps

Day 11 LOVEFEST2014K Lots of Lovely Layers Challenge hosted by Perfect Paper Crafting

Lots of Layers

I, personally own ALL the Perfect Paper Crafting’s Perfect Layers products. I used them all the time. I used 9 different layers. The stamp is from Lawn Fawn – summertime charm stamps and dies and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions – Love bugs

I won the Day 9 draw from Simon Says Stamp and received a $25 SSS gift certificate. I also had two of my cards chosen for the Favorites for the week in the General Stamping forum at Splitcoast Stampers.

Make It Monday #152: Layering Dye & Pigment Inks

Papertrey Ink has a new how to video and challenge every Monday. This week we were to stamp white pigment ink on white cardstock and then stamp with dye inks to see the ghost image of the white pigment come thru. My example is very subtle. I used a Hero Arts stamp – Leafy Vine as the background and stamped it with unicorn white pigment ink. For the dye stamping I used various Hero Art inks and PI stamps – Flower Fusion #7, Delightful Dahlia Additions , Funky Florals, and Harvest Berries.
