This week’s challenge at CRAFT is Get Well/Sympathy/Sorry. I opted to make a Get Well Card. I used a delightful stamp from QKR Stampede called digi16910 Nurse Digi-Stamp. I coloured her with Copics, added a Get Well Sentiment from Paper Smooches – Healthy Vibes and a Heart Rate border die, also by PS.
This challenge will run from February 26th until March 4th. Please join us!
I cannot take credit for the image and soft kitty song sentiment. I saw the design on t-shirts and a card on Pinterest by JanR at huhsothisisablog.blogspot.ca. I used a digi stamp by Tiddly Inks, and the verse is from The Big Bang Theory, a song Sheldon wants sung to him when he is not feeling well. I coloured the Kitty with Copics, added on ribbon, and popped her up on the card. I made the verse background on the computer. I made the kitten cup in 6 different colours (because I always like to switch things up.
I made this card(s) for the Get Well Challenge at Cards und More Challenge
I Copic coloured four copies of Chicken Soup by Bugaboo to make get well cards. Vs making them all the same, I decided to make 4 different cards using four difference challenge sketches.
For my first card I used a sketch by Techno Stamper - Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 338 (TSSC338)
For my second card, I used a sketch on the Digi Sketch Challenge Blog. I did not use the theme Lace and Pearls though, just the inspiration.
For card number three, my inspiration came from Papertake Weekly - Sketchie Free For All #97
For my final card, I made my fourth card based on the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #273.
My card was featured on Tuesday Morning Sketches’ Facebook page. See https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tuesday-Morning-Sketches/165327566909261?ref=hl
UPDATE: My first card won Top 3 at Techno Stamper.
I was looking to make a “purr-fect” Get Well Soon card for a friend from work who was in the hospital in Kingston. I used a digi stamp by Tiddly Inks, and the verse is from The Big Bang Theory, a song Sheldon wants sung to him when he is not feeling well. I coloured the Kitty with Copics, fussy cut her, and popped her up on the card. I made the verse background on the computer. Note: I cannot take credit for the concept of this card, that would have to go to JanR at huhsothisisablog.blogspot.ca.
UPDATE: My card was selected twice as a Favorite of the Week ending August 31, 2014 at Splitcoast Stampers. See post #124 and #131 at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/general-stamping-talk-f17/favorites-week-ending-august-31-2014-a-t591485-4.html
I needed to replenish my stash of Get Well cards, so I made two different cards this morning. For card number one, I used a stamp from Impression Obsession - Doctor’s Bag. I opted for a simple design and simply stamped it with Hero Arts Black, then layered it on red/white cardstock.
My second card is a blatant copy of a card I saw on Pinterest. (I do not know the original artist to give her/him proper credit-sorry), The sentiment is computer generated.
I added a little nurse owl, I punched out using my Stampin Up Owl Punch, on the inside of both cards. This little bird, always makes me smile!
