Back by popular demand, Challenge #49 at Fairytale Stampers is Anything Goes. This challenge is sponsored by A Day for Daisies, one of my favorite Digi Stamp companies, so for my final card I chose their stamp - Painting A Rose. I coloured the images using distress inks and a waterbrush, then accented around the whole image with BG0000 Copic marker. The sentiment is from MFT.
Please join us. The challenge runs from December 21-January 10, 2015. I look forward to seeing your wonderful works at Fairytale Stampers.
ADDED NOTE: This will be my last card as a Guest Designer with Fairytale Stampers as my term is up. I would like to thank everyone on the Design Team for allowing me to join in for the past four months. I had a blast!
If you love “Girly” cards, you will love our latest Challenge at Fairytale Stampers – Bling and Glitter. This was a especially fun card for me the make because I love the bling! Combine that with a great images and Wow! Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps and I selected one of their images appropriately called “Beautiful Fairy”. I used my favorite colour combo of blue-green and pink, plus added a little purple. First, I coloured her with Copics. To add glitter to the wings only, I squeezed a little white glue on my craft mat, added a little water, then “painted” a light coat of glue on the wings. Next I added super fine diamond glitter over the glue, tapped off excess glitter, then put aside to dry. I offset the fairy image on the card base, then added some gems and gem flourishes. For the final step, I added glossy accents to the “ball”. I may add an ornament hook attachment to the ball and make this into a Christmas card later.
The challenge runs from November 30-December 20, 2014. I look forward to seeing every one’s work.
Fairytale Stampers Challenge#47 is Favorite Colours! Like most challenges, you can interpret the challenge anyway you want. While blue is my favorite colour, I love to wear bright colours. In stamping/colouring I love the combination of an aqua blue-green and pink. I find it so pretty and feminine. Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day for Daisies. The is one of my favorite digi stamp sites. I have over 40 of their stamps so far-I love all of them, so make sure you check them out!
I used a stamp from their “Timeless Beauties” collection called Aloha Blooms. I love that the girl, while very beautiful, has a fuller shape. I showcased her with Spellbinder’s – 5×7 Elegant Labels Four S6-005, Jewel Flowers and Flourishes S5-143, Memory Box – Cherry Blossoms, Nellie Sneden Flower Punches, and gems/pearls from my Stash.
Please join us for this Challenge. It runs from November 9-29, 2014
Challenge #46 at Fairytale Stampers is SOMETHING NEW! You can try a new technique, a new stamps, new dies….. I just received a package from Waltzingmouse Stamps so I decided to use my new stamps for this challenge. I made two versions of the card, and tried a new technique to me, colouring on kraft with Prisma Pencil Crayons. I used the Snowman from Frosty in the Pines, and a sentiment from Warm Fuzzies and another from Little Deer. For card one I coloured the snowman with Copics, and added Glossy Accents to the eyes and buttons. For card 2, I used pencil crayons. The snowflakes are from Paper Smooches.

I coloured the image with Copics. I added glossy accents to the jar for added dimension. In following this challenge’s theme – I added a strip of lace and ribbon/bow. The background was embossed with a Darice Fall Leaf A2 Embossing Folder. I also used a few gems and button.
