For our current challenge, the design team is asking you to create a “Fall Colours” card. I love Fall. It is my favorite time of the year. I used this adorable rubber stamp by Lili of the Valley, called “September Fairy”. I coloured her with Copic markers and mounted the image on a leaf embossed white card stock. The sentiment – fall – was created with letters from MFT - Die-namics LLD Bright Lights Alphabet.
Please join us.
The Challenge runs from September 2nd until September 16th
I entered my card into the following:
Broken Fairy Designs – Things with Wings
Hiding in my Craft Room – Fall Colours
This week our design team challenges you to make a “shaped” card (anything but a square or rectangle). I hand sketched a pumpkin shape, coloured and cut out 2, attached front and back together, then added the digi stamp called AJ the Pilgrim by The Stamping Boutique. For the digi, I paper pieced most of the turkey and pilgrim. I also used Copic markers. The sentiment is from PI.
I hope you will join us. Please support our Sponsors who provide us with our great weekly prizes.
At CRAFT this week we definitely are thinking about the “fall” season. I make Fall/Thanksgiving/Halloween cards for all the residents at the Belmont Nursing Home so I opted for a Halloween card. I used 5 of the digital papers from Imagine That! Digistamps – Fabulous Fall for my background design. The mummy character is from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. The sentiment is from PI.
Please join us October 8th. And check out the great digi stamps and papers at Imagine That. Support our Sponsors. Without them we would not be able to give away our fabulous prizes!
Our latest challenge at Simply Create Too is Autumn Splendor. When I saw this digi stamp at Tiddly Inks called Wryn’s Leaves I knew it would make a perfect fall splendor themed card. I made two versions of the card. I coloured the image with Copic markers. Next, because I was trying to capture a moment in time, I thought using a poloriod frame from MFT was perfect. For the first card, I sponged the background of the image was distress markers, then popped the frame up with foam. I added some twine from my stash and a couple of die cut leaves. For the leaves, I used distress inks, smooched them on my craft matt, spritzed with water, then blotted a sheet of water colour paper. Once dry, I die cut various leaves. The sentiment is from PI. I used leaf dies from Lawn Fawn, MFT and Memory Box.
Please join us. This Challenge runs from September 25th until October 9th.
