For this week’s challenge, I decided to try out a couple of dies I have. I started by embossing the background with one of my stash folders. Next I die cut a trellis (by Impression Obsessions) out in black and a garden trellis (by Poppy Stamps)out in white. I liked the different effects of each so I decided on making 2 cards vs one. Next I made 4 purple cone-flowers/stem and leaves made with Elizabeth Craft designs. The sentiment is by Penny Black. I added ribbon and pre-made kraft butterflies from my stash

This week we challenge you to make a card using the colors we posted. I decided I would try to match the inks using peg stamps and creating my own images. I made more than one image and used a number of the colors from the challenge. The stamps I used are from Card-io Clear Stamp sets and Majestix Peg Stamps for Papercraft. I used my Hero Art Ink pads, and the sentiments are from Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamps.

I love summer, and when I think of summer, I think of the Beach. Bugaboo Digi Stamps make a series of adorable Mermaid and fish themed stamp set called, “UNDER THE SEA BIRTHDAY SET“. I made a series of cards utilizing all the cute images. I coloured them with Copic markers and layered them on papers from my stash. The sentiments are from the same set.
Please check out Bugaboo Stamps. You will be amazed. Note: They constantly are introducing new images and retiring old ones – don’t miss out and be disappointed. I personally own over 50 of their images with 25% no longer a part of their collection! Bugaboo is this week’s sponsor, please support them. Friday’s are Freebie Fridays!
I purchased these black on off-white note cards from Michael’s, but I just had to tszuj them up with die cut birds, butterflies and dragonflies. I coloured them with Copics, added new sentiments, and inked around the edges with Distress ink. They were 4 cards per pack and only $1.00.
