For this week’s challenge you are to make a card using White and one other colour. I used Black, White, and a light shade of Blue for one card, and Black, White and Red for the other. This week’s sponsor is Eureka Stamps, and they have a diverse line of unmounted and cling mounted images, encompassing over 30 theme areas… from “accents” to “winter” and over 1500 images in between along with over 1000 of these images available in digital (digi) format. I made 4 cards using 2 of their fabulous stamps, Crying Lamb ES-digi13802 and Party Poopers ES-digi14303. For the touch of colour on the images I used my Spectrum Noir Markers.
card 1 – I also added 3 white pearls for that little extra
card 4 – I added colour to this final card

I love making my own embellishments, especially flowers, but when I started looking for inspiration for this week’s challenge in my embellishment box I come across a number of these little origami dress I made last year but never used them.
I started with a background stamp (retired) from JustRite. I stamped it on yellow toned patterned paper. Next I die cut a dress dummy from Memory Box, then popped up my dress on it. I added a belt using Stickles and a button I made from MFT button dies. Next I die cut more buttons using the small and large button dies from MFT and threaded them and popped them up using foam tape. I also added a spool of thread and needle and thread I made using dies from MFT and Memory Box. I also created my own “gems” using gold stickles. I hope you like the results.
Embellishments I made: dress with belt, buttons, gems, needle and thread, spool of thread.

This week’s challenge to open to any type of card with the challenge of adding a charm. I make jewelry from time to time and have quite a few charms in my stash. I opted to use this adorable stamp by MFT called Spring has Sprung. I stamped it on kraft paper using Versafine Tuxedo Black and coloured it with Copics and a white gel pen. To add some drama, I tore on edge and backed it on a crimped neutral card stock. I added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn, wrapped some twine around the card front and tied on a cute little sun charm.

This week’s challenge is a Sketch Challenge. I used Barnaby Bee by Digital Delights. I coloured Barnaby with my Copic markers and added sparkle to his wings with clear Wink of Stella. I layered him using dimensionals to make him pop off the cards and created the background with paper from my stash. The final touch was three gems.

This week’s challenge is to make a card for a female or Mother’s Day. I thought this would be a great time to try out my new Minc machine. I used a beautiful silhouette digi by Pickled Potpourri called Just Dance. I printed it out on my laser printer using both white and black card stock. I used a rainbow affect silver foil in the Minc machine. I made both a birthday card for a wonderful little ballerina, and a couple of Mother’s Day cards. NOTE: Because of the foil, it was very hard to photograph!
