C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 508 – 4th of April – Inspired by a Song

Click here to go to challenge blog

The C.R.A.F.T. Design Team is looking for a project inspired by a song. With St. Patrick’s Day just passed, I was listening to the Irish Rovers. One of my favourite songs is their Unicorn Song. Yesterday was my honorary granddaughter’s Fourth birthday. Her theme was “Unicorn Princess”. I racked my brain for ideas because I wanted to make her something extra special. I ended up with a Unicorn Princess paperscape shadowbox. For the base of the picture I used Dreaming Tree’s, For Mom SVG Bundle and added the Unicorn Princess SVG from Printable Cuttable Creatables. All the papers, gems, pearls, were from my stash. The shadow box was picked up when Hobby Lobby had their buy one get one free sale. Everything was cut with my Cricut Explore Air and Design Space. I did cut 4 sets of eyelashes and doubled them up for more dimension. My granddaughter loved it. She loves her bling! Note: It was hard to photograph as the picture was behind glass.

Simply Create Too – Challenge #147- AG/For a Male

Simply Create Too Challenge Blog

This month’s challenge at Simply Create Too is to make a card for a male. My little grandson’s birthday is coming up soon and I thought these dancing candles by My Scrap Chick. I used various papers from my stash and my Circut machine to create this card. I added detail with a Copic marker and a white gel pen.

Here we are at the last challenge of the year and as the last challenge, we are running it for the next 3 weeks. The final challenge is totally open and anything goes. I made an adorable little “Woof” dog card (SVG) designed by The Cutting Cafe.

I used the SVG cut file from The Cutting Cafe and my Cricut Air Explore machine to make the card. I cut various dog themed papers from my stash, plus to stamped dogs to decorate.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 478 – 2nd of August – Use Numbers

The C.R.A.F.T. Challenge is to use numbers. For my card, I used a clear stamp from Sweet n Sassy called The Sea! I made the card for a guy friend who is turning the Big 6-0 this August. I started by stamping the sailboat with Versafine Black ink. Next, I blended Distress Oxide Ink into the background. I added a sentiment by Hero Arts and the number 60 die-cuts from Papertry Ink.

Happy Birthday to Us

Happy Birthday to Us

Happy Birthday Dear C.R.A.F.T. Challenge

Happy Birthday to Us!

Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 9 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can’t Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4th of May 2009.

We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with several Guest Designers who join us for a month or a week at a time.

We have always welcomed all kinds of craft, not just paper craft (unless specifically stated so in the challenge at the time) and are happy to have such a large group of faithful followers.

So, how are we going to celebrate this milestone?

Well, how else can we celebrate than to have our yearly Blogaversary Blog Hop?

We all feature sponsors for this blog hop on our blogs and I have the honour of featuring and offering a prize from the following sponsor. You can win this prize by adding your name to Inlinkz at the end of this post. I would love to see your comments as well.

The sponsor on my blog is Bugaboo Stamps

You can Win 4 digi stamps from Bugaboo Stamps by adding your name to the Inlinkz at the end of this post.*

How can you get to win any of the prizes provided by our sponsors?

That is easy! Just follow the route on our blog hop, Our Blog Hop lasts for the duration of this challenge, which means a closing time of Wednesday 6pm GMT on the 16th of May 2018.

And here are our little rules for this challenge/blog hop

The rules this year are very simple:

  1. Make a project for this challenge and your entry will be put in the random draw for the prize by Bugaboo Stamps.
  2. Visit the blogs of our DT and enter into their Inlinkz to be put in the random draw for the prize on their blog.
  3. The Top 3 will again be chosen as every week as well.
  4. No sentence hunting this year I am afraid.

You should have come here from Monika’s Blog and as you can see your next stop is Sheryl’s blog. The start and finish of this blog hop are at CRAFT Challenge Blog.

And here is my project for this week, hope you like it.

I created my card using Bugaboo’s Digital Stamp Birthday Unicorn Set. Because it is our 9th Anniversary, I added images to both the front and inside of my card. I coloured the images with Copic markers, then added clear Wink of Stella for that magical feeling. The happy birthday die cuts are by Lawn Fawn.
