52 Christmas Card Throwdown – June 23rd – Stash – Wood Background

DT Badge

This week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge we invite you to dig through your stash for something wood to add to your card. I made a very simple card. First I found a perfect background paper from Kaisercraft and cut it to fit an A2 card. Next, I found a wooden plaque made by Prima called Victorian Christmas Wooden Icon and used it as my sentiment. My card took less than 5 minutes to construct.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 391 – Use some washi tape

CHNC blog button DT

This week at CHNCC. we are challenging you to use washi tape on your project. I have to admit, I never use washi tape, I hoard it, but never use it. I purchased a box of tapes from Micheal by Crate Paper called Falala and used every tape at least once. The snowman is by Dilly Beans Stamps – Framed Snowman 2. I coloured the snowman with Copic Markers.

CHNC blog button DT

This week’s CHNCC Challenge is to use non-traditional colours. I picked purple. I love “Snowy” by Penny Black. The stamp is called, “Naughty or Nice?”. I coloured the characters with Copics and used Kaisercraft papers from my stash.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown – June 16th – Theme – Wreaths

DT Badge

Our monthly Theme Challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is Wreaths. I selected a simple design by Papertry Ink called, Rustic Wreath. I stamped directly on a printed cardstock from the Silent Christmas Collection by Kaiser Craft. I coloured the wreath with my Copic markers. I used a sentiment from the same stamp set. (note: PI also has the matching die)

C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 472 – 14th of June – Christmas

This week the CRAFT Design Team is challenging you to make a Christmas themed card. For the challenge, I made a wintery scene using Stampin’ Up’s, Polar Bear from Zoo Review Stamp Set. I stamped him on white cardstock and used a B015 Copic marker the draw around him to add some shadow. Next, I cut him out left part of the card stock to remain as snow. I glued him on a patterned paper and used a pre-designed sentiment from Kaiser Craft. In hindsight, I should have edged the polar bear which a black marker so the white card was not noticeable.
