C.R.A.F.T. – Challenge 372 – 14th of July – Thank You (Teacher)!

DTbadgeThis week we are challenging you to make a Thank You card for a Teacher. I have chosen a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps and created both front panel and inside panel for the card. I coloured the front panels with Derwent Inktense Watercolour Pencils. For the inside colouring I used Copics. The sentiments are computer generated! The Teacher diecut is from Papertrey Ink.

My Mediterranean Cruise & Crop with Cathie Rigby

I just got back from an amazing holiday! With almost 3 years in the planning, my girlfriend, Pearl, and I took an amazing trip to Europe – Paris, Barcelona, Nice, Tuscany, Roman, Amalfi Coast, Venice, Ravenna, and Kotor. Best trip ever! The beauty about a Cruise and Crop is that you Crop during the sailing days. Our Crop leader, Cathie Rigby did not disappoint! Here are  few of the fun things we made on the cruise.

just for you

Note: I did not discuss the “how to” techniques of these projects out of respect for the teacher. These projects are based on Cathie Rigby’s designs/techniques, taught to us by her in a classroom environment on the Cruise and Crop. Cathie offers retreats, classes, online instruction, and Cruise and Crops. Her next adventure is a cruise from Australia to New Zealand! For details about Cathie and her multiple talents, visit her at her website at Cathie’s Craft Room - . She is a fabulous instructor and I am happy to call her my friend. The classes were small and intimate. We had a great bunch of ladies in the classes, and their friends and families joined us for dinner and some of the shore excursions. As I said before - Best Trip Ever!

Simple Create Too – #109 – Thank You

SC2 GROUP BADGEThe Simply Create Too team is asking you to make a Thank You card. One can never have enough thank you cards on hand, so I actually made five variations of that card using the Stampendous Cling Stamps Set – BUILD A BOUQUET. I decided to crack open my Derwent Watercolor Pencils. I stamped all the leaves, vases, flowers and butterfly with Versafine Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar White 100lb card stock. I coloured the edge of each image then with my waterbrush, watercoloured the images. I fussy cut all the images and arranged on the final card. I use Stampin Up Dimensionals to pop up different parts of the flowers.

Thank You and Sympathy Cards

I make cards for the Belmont Nursing Home as a special “Pay it Forward” for the wonderful care they provided my Mother. They needed some thank you cards and unfortunately Sympathy card, so I made them up a variety of cards for their needs.

For the thank you cards, I used a stamp set by MFT - DC Thankful Thoughts, various Stampin Up inks and gems from my stash

thankyouFor the sympathy cards, I decided to keep things simple and used various embossing folders. The sympathy sentiments come from Verve Stamps - Forever in our Hearts
