Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 407 – Include a stocking

CHNC blog button DT

For the CHNCC we are looking for the addition of a stocking. I purchased the MFT Die-namics Fireplace and never used it. So when I saw stocking(s) I had to use it.  The diecut all the pieces in various colours and assembled it on my card front. Once done it was lacking something, so I went through my dies and stamps and came across Lawn Fawn’s, here we go a-waddling stamp set and it was perfect. I stamped it directly on the coloured paper, then coloured the image with Copics. I used a sentiment from the same stamp set.

This week, Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge is looking for an added flower or two. I was playing around with a digi sentiment from Pickled Potpourri called Ready-Set-Snow. I printed it on my laserjet printer then ran it through my Minc machine. The foil is multi-coloured and very pretty. I fussy cut it out then pasted it on some pretty Christmas paper with flower from my stash. I added some gems to finish it off.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 405 – Something beginning with the letter S

This week at Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas challenge we are looking for something that begins with S. I immediately thought of Santa, or snow/snowflake, but then I went with Snowman. I used a fabulous snowman stamp from MFT. I coloured him with Copic markers. I added him to some snowflake patterned paper and added the Let it snow diecut. I edged the right side of the card with the same silver foil paper as the diecut.

This week at CHNCCC we are looking for a project that uses patterned paper. I using one image from my favourite series from Bugaboo stamps called Christmas Ewe. Bugaboo makes these wonderful sheep stamps for every occasion! I coloured the little sheep with Derwent Inkintense Watercolour pencils. I cropped the image and layered him on various Christmas papers from my stash.

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge 403 – Use some plaid, checked or gingham paper

When CHCC Challenge was looking for plaid, I immediately thought of the stamp/dieset I purchased from PhotoPlay called O CANADA. I used their stamps, dies and cardstock from this release. Note: They have also released a Christmas version that I have on order. While this set was designed for Canada Day, it blends well for many occasions, especially if you are Canadian!. I coloured my characters with Copics, die cut them out, and pasted them on plaid paper from the same release.
