For this week’s Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge we want you to use a sentiment as a feature of your card. For my image, I used a retired Bugaboo Stamp featuring a Reindeer. I coloured him with Copics and fussy cut him out and glued him to the card front. For the sentiment I chose a large die cut from Paper Smooches simply titled Season’s Greetings.

For this week’s challenge, we are asking you to “Feature a Creature”! Even the challenge name sounds fun! For my card, I used a combination of a digi stamp from Silly Dilly Bean’s Stamps called Penguin Framed, a Polaroid die cut frame and a clear stamp from a die/stamp set by Lawn Fawn called Say Cheese. I coloured the images using my Copic markers. I added the images to some patterned paper from my stash!
I hope you will join us!
The first challenge of 2018 is to Upcycle or Use Anything Old!
I did a Crafty Christmas Card Challenge with some card makers from Live, Love, Cards Card Exchange Group. I received a beautifully made card from Carole Thomas from Alberta, Canada and it was too pretty just to throw away so I decided I would recycle it. I am showing her original card first, then my upcycled version.
To make my card, using a circle die, I die cut out the medallion from the center of the card. I also used IO – Pine Branch Die to cut out 2 different coloured card stock and doubled them up for some dimension to my branch. I used an Ornament die so I so I could turn the medallion into a Christmas Ornament hanging from a branch. The sentiment is from Papertry Ink. The final touch was to add a few gems.
