When I think March and Green I think, St. Patrick’s Day! It is super special as it was the day Ron and I got married. We got married amidst snow, freezing rain and “green” beers! March 17th would have marked our 35th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, I lost Ron to Heart failure, but I still remember each and every St. Patrick’s Day fondly.
Our theme is lots of Green. I used an adorable little “Irish” sheep from Bugaboo Stamps as the main feature of my card(s). I coloured him with Copic markers, fussy cut him out and popped him onto my card base use foam tape. I added St. Patrick’s Day stickers from my stash to finish off my card. I hope you like it!
This week’s challenge is to make a card for a female or Mother’s Day. I thought this would be a great time to try out my new Minc machine. I used a beautiful silhouette digi by Pickled Potpourri called Just Dance. I printed it out on my laser printer using both white and black card stock. I used a rainbow affect silver foil in the Minc machine. I made both a birthday card for a wonderful little ballerina, and a couple of Mother’s Day cards. NOTE: Because of the foil, it was very hard to photograph!

This week’s challenge is to design a card based on our inspirational photo.
I used Impression Obsession - Bird Collage 4 and My Favorite Things (MFT) – Sheet Music Background stamp. I started by stamping the bird collage stamp with Versamark Onyx Black. I also stamped it on a piece of blank paper that I cut out and used as a mask, Once masked, I sponged the background with Distress Ink -Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, and Walnut Stain. With mask still in place, I stamped the card stock with the MFT background stamp (walnut stain). Next I removed the masked and coloured the flowers and leaves with Distress Markers. I made two different stamps, one utilizing the Sheet Music Background stamp, and one with double oval die cuts. I added pearls for that little extra to one card.

Our first challenge of 2017. It is a recipe challenge that we ask you to design a card using 1 image, 2 patterned papers and 3 flowers.
I used a digi stamp from A Day for Daisies called “A Mother’s Burden”. I coloured it using COPIC markers. The patterned card stock is from my stash. The flowers were created with two part punches by Nellie Snellen.

As the year draws to an end, you have to start thinking of cards for 2017. I love all the Ewe stamps by Bugaboo Stamps. I have them all! Today I used Wishing Ewe! This is a great stamp because you can say Wishing Ewe Happy Birthday, Happy Valentine’s Day, you were here! etc….
I coloured the little sheep using my Spectrum Noir markers to colour my shhep and some glimmer with Wink of Stella Clear. I also embossed one sheep and debossed the other with a flowered embossing folder.
