I love making my own embellishments, especially flowers, but when I started looking for inspiration for this week’s challenge in my embellishment box I come across a number of these little origami dress I made last year but never used them.
I started with a background stamp (retired) from JustRite. I stamped it on yellow toned patterned paper. Next I die cut a dress dummy from Memory Box, then popped up my dress on it. I added a belt using Stickles and a button I made from MFT button dies. Next I die cut more buttons using the small and large button dies from MFT and threaded them and popped them up using foam tape. I also added a spool of thread and needle and thread I made using dies from MFT and Memory Box. I also created my own “gems” using gold stickles. I hope you like the results.
Embellishments I made: dress with belt, buttons, gems, needle and thread, spool of thread.

When I think March and Green I think, St. Patrick’s Day! It is super special as it was the day Ron and I got married. We got married amidst snow, freezing rain and “green” beers! March 17th would have marked our 35th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, I lost Ron to Heart failure, but I still remember each and every St. Patrick’s Day fondly.
Our theme is lots of Green. I used an adorable little “Irish” sheep from Bugaboo Stamps as the main feature of my card(s). I coloured him with Copic markers, fussy cut him out and popped him onto my card base use foam tape. I added St. Patrick’s Day stickers from my stash to finish off my card. I hope you like it!
This week’s challenge is to make a card for a female or Mother’s Day. I thought this would be a great time to try out my new Minc machine. I used a beautiful silhouette digi by Pickled Potpourri called Just Dance. I printed it out on my laser printer using both white and black card stock. I used a rainbow affect silver foil in the Minc machine. I made both a birthday card for a wonderful little ballerina, and a couple of Mother’s Day cards. NOTE: Because of the foil, it was very hard to photograph!

This week’s challenge is to design a card based on our inspirational photo.
I used Impression Obsession - Bird Collage 4 and My Favorite Things (MFT) – Sheet Music Background stamp. I started by stamping the bird collage stamp with Versamark Onyx Black. I also stamped it on a piece of blank paper that I cut out and used as a mask, Once masked, I sponged the background with Distress Ink -Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, and Walnut Stain. With mask still in place, I stamped the card stock with the MFT background stamp (walnut stain). Next I removed the masked and coloured the flowers and leaves with Distress Markers. I made two different stamps, one utilizing the Sheet Music Background stamp, and one with double oval die cuts. I added pearls for that little extra to one card.
